For the 3rd time this season, I have had the wrong player start in a position I had them backing up in. The first time it happened I thought maybe I had screwed it up but I made absolutely certain the last few games that I had it correct. After the second time it happened I reset my default lineup, thinking maybe that would fix it. Has this happened to anybody else out there? Any other suggestions as to how I can fix this?

It can happens if you've the starting one too weak compare to the substitute. It could be your case?

Ok this is the meat of what I put in. I'm not too good with computers (sadly) so if that link doesn't work for some reason I apologize. Or if there was another part of the tactics you wanted I could just tell you. But you'll see the point guard position was swapped for some reason. And I actually think (given that it was a blowout game) that it didn't recognize by starting PG at all. It just subbed in the missing player for reserve action. If it means anything, the times it has happened has been with players I transfered in during THIS season. Thanks for trying to help.

Yeah Buxia is a lot better player so the coach decided to play him instead. SFDC doesn't allow the coach to make that decision.

Interesting. I have run that sort of tactic in the past many times before but it hadn't happened to me until this season. I do not doubt you guys, I just wish it didn't work that way. Any idea as to where the cutoff is for how much better a player has to be before the game starts the backup?

I reckon stamina would play a part here.

Think of it like this - no point in having a cramping Lebron starting your game, if you have a fully fit Trevor Ariza available to you.

In this case though its more like a cramping Lebron with a full fit Richard Jefferson.
