my main trainee has played 47.5 minutes , 30 secs to go , 5 fouls , 8 down to a much better team that i knew id lose to anyway. so with 30 secs to go my main trainee fouls out , so i most likely lose 3-4% of training , the game system is so infuriating , especially when my other trainee only got 46 mins in the other game coz the coach had a brainfart and decided to swap him and my small forward , but keeping my trainee pointguard on in the small forward position for the last 2 mins.

Jesus wept is a 2 word expression which accurately sums up how i and many others in similar situations feel at the moment

I had some of the same issues with last minute swap outs of my intended trainees, like your example for your 27 Aug game. I thought I had done everything right, with only dressing 9 men, having everyone listed either at starter or backup, having the trainee listed at all three positions, substitutions set at "strictly follow depth chart." But this only happened in extreme blowouts when I won by a very large margin (again, similar to your game).

A very wise person suggested that I try making sure that there was a player listed at the "reserve" slot for all positions, not just my trainee. So, the backups were also listed as reserves. And that did the trick. My last game was a huge blowout, but both of my trainees (doing 1on1 training this week) got their 48+ minutes. Maybe it will help you?

I'll check the bible again but I'm pretty sure Jesus doesn't care about BB.

i don't know, i can think of a couple of reactions Jesus may have had to having his trainees not get enough minutes:

-- he could have gotten really mad, like the time he trashed the temple and the money changers

-- he could have fiddled with the rules, and turned 47 minutes into 48, and called it a "miracle", like the water and wine

-- my own feeling is that he would have said "yo, dude, remember the lilies of the field, they don't sweat the little stuff, and neither should you. enjoy the game."

Christians have been arguing about which reaction Jesus would have had for 2000 years.

Tuesday's game I dressed nine, no backup at trainee slot, and at the point when my trainee has 47 minutes he gets subbed out. He had 5 fouls which may have had something to do with it. I will do what you do now and see if that fixes this. Do you also set the trainee at backup and reserve?

Yes, backup gets put in all three slots.

Then all the other positions have someone at all three slots.

In your Tuesday game he shouldn't have been taken out with 5 fouls if you set the "Foul Trouble" choice to "Let them Play"

Just to note, I had another 60 point blow out win, but both my trainees got their 48+ minutes. Hope this helps (it definitely helped me!)

I set it as Let tham play, I really don't understand why he was taken out. I'm not mad about it now, but if it happens again with the way you told me to set it then I will be pretty frustrated.

Thanks for the help

Blessed are the scrubs, for they shall inherit the lost training minutes.
