I just had a close game in my PL.

http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/22454121/boxscore.aspx

Just wondering if someone could explain to me why it was close? He is in the top 3000 teams and I am not even in the top 20000. He has much higher salary players. I think enthusiasm levels were the same (or similar) (I've played TIE every match this season as well as both cup games so far). And we both played at Normal effort level (as you can't play TIE or CT in PL).

Just looking for an explanation, because I am playing a team in the cup this week that is around the 5000 world ranking mark and doesn't have as good players but still pretty good, and just wondering if I would be a chance of winning that considering I was so close in this game?

Cheers

23 points isn't a close game.

It wasn't that close 23 point win but you were able to compete with them because he played LI and you went with a 2-3 zone. It makes it hard to get the ball inside because you have 3 guys near there so passing it inside would be hard. Also if they do get it inside you have 3 guys defending that guy so it's going to be hard for him to get off a decent shot.

You might not consider 23 points close, and if it was between 2 teams in my league I would agree, but I am playing someone that has a world ranking that is 20000 teams better than me. He has more than 5 players whose salary is almost the same as my whole team (or at least my starters combined). 23 points is a lot closer than I thought it would be. I was expecting like 100 points difference lol.

Offensive Flow in a Look Inside is extremely important.
