maybe the better defender is contesting more shots, so fouls more.

I played the rival game last night, and my opponent committed 27 fouls ... (88102856)

Last season, they also committed 36 fouls ... (87511881)

Can someone try to explain this, please?

there are a couple of players on his team who are in general, high foulers

Knegeris and Vu An both average about 3 fouls a game, which is generally considered high. teams tend to only persist with one player like this because it can be quite hard to manage minutes etc.

there also seems to be a general correlation between inside offenses and those players fouling high. (as in, with other opponents)

he committed 25 fouls (88102702)
22 here (88102727)
33 here (88904814)

So it looks like its not just you - have a look at Buzzermanager and see if u can get the season summary stats, see how many fouls on average per game he does.

Thanks for your reply first. I see your points, and here is the print-screen from buzzer-manager...

His team has 19.8 fouls on average per game; My team has 10.3 fouls on average per game. Stamina issue or inside defence issue?

it seems there is a hidden "agressiveness" skill which is quite relevant for this subject.
from my experience, i think experience plays a role too. the more experienced, the less foul prone.

Yes as others have said...
Hidden aggression factor is real. I suspect both those guys I named would be candidates for this.
The SB thing is interesting. I have found that if u have a player with a distinctly large difference between his SB and ID, this can affect the number of foul s. Particularly If SB is higher than ID (its almost like the guy attenpt to to block everything but can't and fouls a lot.

Stamina yer. ID yer. But a consistently high fouling player is almost always going to be like that regardless of skill improvements, because of the underlying aggression factor.
