Why am i committing so much fouls each time in every competition game ?
I never can end a game without at least one player getting fouled out.
And I make always more fouls than my adversary in every competition game, even whem most of the time i'm the better team. I just don't understand.
I've been looking for the reason for quite some time now, but i just don't find any particular reason for it !
What could be a reason for my team committing so much fouls in each competition game...

For the people involved in BB, what makes the GE decide if a team commits fouls, what are the underlying aspects / determinators for it in the GE ?

Any help would be appreciated....because i'm clueless about this after searching for a reason for a long time...

BB-Forrest has told us that each player has a hidden "physicality" trait which leads players to play more aggressively. These types of players commit and draw more fouls than others with a lower physicality stat. Your players could hypothetically be more aggressive than average.

I haven't looked at your case specifically but things that can also lead to more fouls include playing an up-tempo tactic such as Full Court Press or Run N Gun or Look Inside, defensive mismatches where your players aren't good enough to stop them with defense alone so they resort to fouling, and close games where teams foul as a tactic towards the end. My guess is that none of these are your problem so I'd imagine you have a roster chalk full of aggressive players!

Ok, thank for the info.
Indeed, it seems that i currently have a squad with most of my starters being pretty aggresive players.

This is a curious case. Seems like your 5 starters are all foul prone.

How's your defense, compared to your leaguemates? It would be nice if those foul prone players also have some defensive bonus.

Isn´t SB a way to previne fouling at high rates?

No SB does not "prevent" fouling, everything is relative. This guy (31801722) has got more than 17 SB, now that he faces better competition (solid D2 -> D1), his foul count increased again.

I will need to assess if there is a significant number of non-shooting fouls or other patterns when I train him out of position (and switch him to defend a big men).

My defense compared to most of my teammates, is at least as good, probably better.
So yes these foul prone starters probably all have a defensive bonus most of the time against most other players they play against in competition.

Is there a way i could lower the fouls committed by my players ? For example, by training a certain skill which could help in committing less fouls ? Anything at all ?

Or am i just extremely unlucky that i seem to have all agressive players, and is there nothing i can do about it ?

Training defense might help a little, but aggressive players will still commit more fouls (and IIRC, draw more fouls too).

In the end all you can do is replace the aggressive players. Sad but true.
Or ... since you foul a lot and the opponent gets a lot of free throws, maybe you could improve your free throw defense, eh?
