I drafted these two 19yo superstars, they have a bit of a height difference but trained together I think they would eventually make a nice SF/PF pair. What would their optimal final builds look like (being trained in exact same skills)? Thanks.

Tony O'Brien (eventual SF)
Age: 19
Height: 6'1" / 185 cm
Potential: superstar

Jump Shot: awful ↑ Jump Range: average
Outside Def.: inept Handling: average
Driving: prominent Passing: strong
Inside Shot: mediocre Inside Def.: respectable
Rebounding: inept Shot Blocking: pitiful
Stamina: average Free Throw: inept

Paul Bellamy (eventual PF)
Age: 19
Height: 6'7" / 201 cm
Potential: superstar

Jump Shot: average Jump Range: awful ↑
Outside Def.: awful Handling: proficient
Driving: inept Passing: mediocre
Inside Shot: proficient Inside Def.: mediocre
Rebounding: average Shot Blocking: inept
Stamina: strong Free Throw: strong

Well they are both slight different, O'Brien will train faster on outside skills than Bellamy due to their height differential, and same for inside skills but the other way around.
Then it also depends on your trainer and what do you look forward to get, inside players, outside players or balanced players

I don't like your plan to go SF/PF with them. 6'1" is incredibly small for a SF and 6'7" is pretty small for a PF. Generally the smallest I think you want your trainee to be for a SF is 6'4" or inside skills take to long to accumulate and 6'8"-6'9" is about as small as you want your PF otherwise big skills take longer to train.

I would go the SG/SF route to be honest. This means a lot of JS and OD training to start probably but it will most likely be best for the long run. Throw in some Passing and 1v1 too.

Jump Shot: strong Jump Range: respectable
Outside Def.: prominent Handling: prolific
Driving: prolific Passing: prominent
Inside Shot: average Inside Def.: strong
Rebounding: inept Shot Blocking: pitiful
Stamina: average Free Throw: inept

Jump Shot: prominent Jump Range: inept
Outside Def.: respectable Handling: prominent
Driving: average Passing: respectable
Inside Shot: prominent Inside Def.: average
Rebounding: average Shot Blocking: inept
Stamina: strong Free Throw: strong

I think this is possible for them to reach at the very end of their 21 year old season. This would give them a wonderful foundation to go multiple different directions with them based on what your team and financial situation is looking like. I just don't think the Forward route for both of them is a very solid plan based on their heights.

My team isn't a full season old yet, I had less than 20 points to scout out these guys so I think I did alright. They both popped in RB last week, I'm training two position stuff because I have 6 trainable guys. Better to get as much homegrown salary for when the salary floor kicks in (will be during the offseason for me I think).

I'll have the top pick in the draft (still waiting on the scouting list...) so there's a good chance these two won't be the focus next season, but I think they are a decent backup plan if the draft is a dud.

I drafted a third 19yo who you would undoubtedly think is better:

Potential: allstar
Jump Shot: respectable Jump Range: mediocre
Outside Def.: average Handling: average
Driving: strong Passing: mediocre
Inside Shot: respectable Inside Def.: inept
Rebounding: awful Shot Blocking: strong
Stamina: mediocre Free Throw: atrocious

While I do appreciate your advice, I don't quite agree with all of it. I'm a returning manager so not a complete noob, I'm trying for a homegrown team this time around, I just don't want to invest time on the transfer list. I hope your new thread isn't aimed at me specifically
