OK. Not sure if this was a bug, or how it happened, but I placed a bid on the player listed below, and watched the clock run out, and I went back into his page to make sure I got the bid. The screen showed no available bidding, but the red text below my bid saying Auction Ends: 4/10/2011 4:52:02 PM. So I figured I had the bid. But when I went back out to my manage team page, I noticed he was not on my team. His bidding was actually reopened. Is this possible?

Your offer is not a number. The bid must be at least $1000 or 2% higher than the last bid.
WARNING: It is against BuzzerBeater rules to bid above market rates on a player. Our cheater tools may detect this as an attempt to transfer money between two accounts, and BOTH teams may be banned.

Why did you have this in there: "Your offer is not a number. The bid must be at least $1000 or 2% higher than the last bid." ?

I just cut and paste the text on the page when I checked to see if I won the bid. Never noticed that there before. As a note, I have seen that page many times when buying a player, but never had it reopen to more bids after the bidding field has been removed past the deadline.

You would know more how the system works than I do, but I would guess that another manager put in a bid before the cut off, but it was delayed getting to the database. Once the engine processed the managers bid, it had to reopen the bidding. Hope this helps.

It is a very unusual occurrence, but I can't do anything now that the bid has gone through. I'll keep my eyes open to see if it happens again.

Not too big of a deal as long as I can find another player close to him for the money. :)

I figured if it was a problem, there wouldn't be a good way to rectify the situation anyway. I am pretty sure the manager that bought him would not want to lose him because of a bid error.

Oh well. Thanks for looking into it.
