We’d like to give a huge shout out to all ‘da Bellys’ out there! Without you, our fans, we’d still be bored in DIV destroying everyone even though the team was drinking a keg at halftime. Our early success this season in DIII forced us into some tough decisions, selling longtime core contributors so that we could expand The Keg to fit more breweries, bars, restaurants…and of course some seats too. Guntorius was a tough decision, as he was part of a solid young front court rotation. We filled in with some valuable veterans which helped us reach the goal of staying out of relegation.
Meanwhile our rookies and future back-court duo of Huffman and Piotrkowicz have benefited from training minutes, we are hopeful that Huffman will become a solid bench contributor mid-way through next season. He’s already shown us glimpses of his passing abilities and are confident he will turn into the floor general we envision him to be. Piotrkowicz being straight out of the junior pros in Poland as an 18yo will take another year of training to make meaningful impacts. However, he has already shown himself to be a shooter, now he just needs to learn how to score at this level.
The future is bright, we have significant positive cash flow with money in the bank. Our goal next season will continue to develop our backcourt of the future while staying out of relegation at the same time.
