The heartbreaking 100-122 loss against KSCW in Sep. 25 concluded an exciting season for Crystalline Cohomology (abbreviated C.C. hereafter). Nevertheless, C.C. made a new page to their team history. As their fifth season and second season in league III, C.C. wrapped up their first winning season and first win in the playoffs.
In the Utopia tournament, C.C. made great progress as well. Thanks to some great luck and the fact that some stronger teams gave up their tournament, C.C. hit their history record by squeezing into best 64. They fought hard against the new Utopia Heaven league team, Boston Hornets,
(276458), and bravely accepted the loss.
On the side of BBM tournament which is new to all the managers, C.C. had a satisfactory start as well, heading to the elimination round with 7 wins. It was a bit disappointing that they are stopped at best 64, but C.C. will incessantly look forward to their next chance to make a difference soon.
Looking back to the critical games in the season, C.C. indeed stole a few great games but also lost quite a few out of surprise. After signing big contracts with the swingman Mel Karban and Chau Khong Hai, C.C. started to find it hard to make the ends meet, but the improvement had been marginal. Feeling short of a strategical team-building plan, C.C. decided to sell the majority of the rotation and planned on some bold experiments.
Hope that C.C. will become a more interesting team in a couple of seasons.
