500th scrimmage

15 November 2008, away against Napoca Lakers, we played our first scrimmage! Since then passed almost 13 years and almost 47 seasons. But today we played the 500th scrimmage! An incredible achievement, that not too many teams achieved.

Because we knew it before, we wanted to celebrate it by playing in our arena and against a strong opponent. That's why we invited I love Tehran from Iran, who needed to play before the B3 final. Our hope was that they will come to us like the new world champions. Unfortunately, they lost yesterday. But they become worlds runners-up anyway. Congratulations to them! I love Tehran is anyway BuzzerBeater Legend because they won 4 times the B3 titles (3 times even in a row)!!! If they won yesterday then they were the team with the most B3 titles ever!!!

We enjoyed playing against such a great team! For our boys, it was the greatest opponent against which they played and definitely they gain more experience today.Costinel Tofan said: "I was impressed from the start how they respected us like we were the champions. Simon Dlabac congratulated me at the end of the game and gave me his t-shirt! Of course is amazing to play against such a team, against such NT players!"

We thank again their manager, Sahand, for accepting our invitation and we wish them good luck further!

Going back to our scrimmages history we want to specify that there is only one player who played more than 100 games from these 500. Is about Florea Ciobanu, our Hall of Famer, who played 105 scrimmages for our club. Of course, he scored the most points too: 2077 points. But today evening Nicolae Matei achieved the most higher scrimmage rating: 21,5! Nice for him in such a game!!!

For us come now other games and other goalies. Tomorrow we will play the semifinal of Bulls League 3. Definitely, our boys have more motivation to win that game!

So go go go Reghin Bulls!!!
