Hello everyone,

I am curently sitting on approx. 500k and would like to use it for my arena.
I am playing in Division IV in Germany right now and my arena looks like this (always sold-out):

Bleachers : 9128 (Current Price: $5)
Lower Tier : 1318 (Current Price: $18)
Courtside Seats : 216 (Current Price: $50)
Luxury Boxes : 27 (Current Price: $400)

On the one hand i want to maximise my income as fast as possible (means maxing my arena), on the other hand I have a very good young prospect with almost a NT guarantee.

So I am thinking whether I should expand my arena or buy the Gym or maybe the Training Court.
I am also not sure what the purpose of the Gym is and how exactly cross-training works.

I hope you guys have an advice for me!

If the arena is always sold out then you might want to raise prices a bit. If you wanted to build your arena then I would focus on courtside then lower tier, the other two sections seem fine for IV. This is what I would do in your situation.

Regarding the potential NT player, I'm guessing it's Prakash or Gaskarov? As they have low potential (for NT players) then I don't think they would benefit much from high level trainers or a gym, as you will easily reach their maximum skills before they are too old to train. If you wanted to maximise them for U21 then these things would train them faster, but it's not cost effective for you. I'd only do that if helping that U21 team is your main goal in BB.

A training court will help your players make FT's, but again I wouldn't prioritise it. You could build it in a few seasons time and that would still be plenty of time for them to become good FT shooters (especially as I'm guessing they will end up with good JS/JR given their height).

Regarding how the gym works, this might not be precise but it's something like - when you train a player they also get 10% in a random skill (could be the same skill that's being trained). For each level of a gym, you get an extra 10%. So for a level 3 gym you would have 4x10% training in random skills (could be four different skills, in a rare situation it could all be the same skill).

I would advice you to max out your arena first before thinking of training. You should have done that a long time ago. It actually took me 2 and a half seasons to max out my arena.

If I were you I would have sold off Predl when I drafted him. Not sure if there are still many people looking for trainees now for him to fetch a good price. Also, even if he's MVP, but he's not a NT guarantee unless you have at least a level 6 coach with a level 6 youth trainer. And even if you train him to qualify for one of the best NTs in the world - your arena will not be able to sustain his salary. You'd very likely have to sell him off before you hit the cap.

My personal advice - max out your arena first. Without enough income, you shouldn't really bother about training NT players at all. I was like you in my first account. I joined in season 3 and had a player in the NT. I focused a lot on training and ended up having to sell off my NT players (only managed to have 1 at a time due to salaries) because they got too expensive (200k+ salary). This time I came back smarter, focused on my arena first, then managed to train up 2 NT players at the same time, and even buy one off the market. Even with that, I was sitting on a pretty healthy income (although yea I was in div I so I guess TV contract and gate receipts makes a difference). So if you want something sustainable - go for the arena.

Predl will never make it to the German NT, but likely he can manage to be part of the U21.

Referring to my last U21-SG (Apfeld) his salary will rise to about 25-30k with 21, about 55k with 22. So plenty of time to expand the arena.

In addition, actually he is playing in Div. 4 so it is not unlikely to promote (due to bots and bot-promotion) which will provide additional income and bonuses.

Just some adjustments in pricing, little expansion and yes: a youth trainer (Lvl. 4). Coach Level 4 (5 if affordable) is sufficient at the moment.

Ouch. A bitter taste of reality xD

I guess if it's the U21, then yes he should be fine.

Thank you very much guys!
I think I will build the Gym level 1 and focus then on maxing my arena!

U21 NT is enough for the beginning 😄
I think that’s a solid start for my team.

Actually if you're training for U21, you might wanna avoid getting the gym, especially when you're training guards. Gyms are for cross training, and you definitely don't want a useless rebound pop to eat up your player's potential.

No, he is MVP and so he should get every pop possible! MVPs usually don't cap in their U21-lifetime.

He's got a couple more who can make the U21, and only 1 MVP. I guess it depends on how many players he wants in I guess. If it's solely the MVP guy then gym would work.
