Good Luck to everyone in the cup still!

Team to watch: Sofuegg. Team is deceptive and I wouldn't want them as a rele matchup.

No surprise as the great 8 continues to dominate the rankings and the race for the 7th seed is a dogfight.

Biggests surprises of the season:
ETBU Tigers fighting for the 7th seed after coming into the season as a consensus playoff team.

Irivne Aneaters massive drop off to the 15th ranked team in the power rankings after a hot start. (same thing can be said about the (telecasters)

Good luck to all this week!

It's been since S40 or so since i've been in the NBBA. Some of the most notable changes i've seen:

1) Vague-ish memories of past teams can be inaccurate, of course, but i swear i've got a team that by reckoning is comparable to, if not easily superior to, my previous NBBA squads. Then, that squad could win championships; now, same level (or greater) is facing relegation. Then? 130 TSP was a superstar. Now? i'm trying out how to afford one of the many 150 TSP players are out there.

2) i don't have a clue how the GE works now. To give a specific example, i've seen Princeton overcome mountains, and i've seen the same team run the same offense and it get wadded up and thrown back in my face. Crap, i'm still wrapping my head around the idea of Princeton as a viable offense; understanding how it succeeds or fails still in distant future.

3) Managers at this level are really good, very experienced. Mistakes are rare, from what i can ell. Some sort of tally of my errors versus those i've seen, i'm way way ahead. Teams routinely zero in on my weaknesses, on a team that's designed not to have any. Back in the Golden Age, when teams tanked, they headed straight for DIV, most in two seasons to begin the rebuild. Now? Carefully calibrated squads designed to be very competitive in DII. (Just think of it: Atelier back in only one season!) Then? i averaged 16 wins for a bunch of a seasons. Now? check out the standings. Mediocrity is so correct, this is a such a competitive league, and absolutely never have i found it so hard to win on the road.

btw, i've never enjoyed the game more. best of luck to all.

i'm guessing you have a dilemma similar to mine: need a strong player to compete, must raise revenue to support that player, how to raise revenue while losing with team that needs a strong player to compete.

. . . . . .

I really think in this age of BB it is all about enth management and GS management. I think most of the teams in the league are similar.

I certainly don't think my 13-win team is much better than even my conference's 6 or 7 seed! To me, it comes down to picking your battles wisely (and of course some luck too)
