James Mathis, MVP pot PG. Training 1on1 guards for him. He’s going to be pretty solid!

Very impactful week of practice for team USA. We ran drills, practiced our free throws and ran a 5 on 5 scrimmage to test out some new plays. The efficiency was top notch and we are excited to get back into some game action this coming week!

We come out of the bye matched up against Costa Rica. They currently have a 1-2 record and sit at 5th place in the group. They are led by 20k center Freddy Clavijo, who looks to be the centerpiece of their roster. Their strength definitely seems to lie inside, so we will gameplan accordingly. We are very confident we will be able to come out after our bye week and put together a great performance.

Go USA!

Routine victory today from the team to take us to 4-0 in the group. Game script allowed every player to get their fair share of minutes and it was a good team effort. Eldridge Webster slotted into the SF for the first time today and led the team in scoring at 22 points. Vincent Polk also put together a perfect game, shooting 7-7 from the field and 2-2 from 3, adding in 8 rebounds and 3 assists. We completely dominated the boards in what was an overall great win.

Next week we have Guatemala, which should be a pretty straight forward game for us. They are currently 1-3 in the group, with 2 of those losses being forfeit losses, so I am not even sure at the moment if we will be playing or not. Either way lets get that 5-0!

Go USA!

Not much to say about this game, just a complete domination from the team today. I would go in to depth but a triple digit victory sort of speaks for itself

Next week we have our final match of the group, where we will be going up against the other remaining undefeated team in Chile. This will by far be our toughest match up to date, as whoever wins will finish the group in first place. They have a strong group of bigs that top their roster, followed by a few solid looking guards. We are excited for our first real challenge of the season, and are determined to get the win and finish atop our group!

Go USA!
