Hello again to everyone!

I'm starting this thread in order to write the followups of U21 team games, and also the announcements of the games to come

After collecting the info of all India young players, I've compiled a list of 11 players who are already in the roster and around 30 players (currently) who will be followed throughout the season.
Greeting messages were sent to ALL the managers who have players from the list above. Not all the managers have replied back, but lets see how it will go during the season.

I'm monitoring last login time for all of the teams, and in case some of great prospect players will become bots, I'll invite them to U21 so that they can apear in TL.

Report about today's game vs. Iran will come shortly after this.

p.s. this message might sound familiar and it indeed is familiar - I've wrote a similar one last season. So there are good and bad news about its familiarity
- good news: I'm still the U21 coach, good news for me at least
- bad news: again very few managers have replied back to my iniitial messages

We have just got our two first opponent in the consolation tournament.

Sakartvelo U21 : India U21
India U21 : Malaysia U21

Unfortunately, we are the underdogs in both of the games so it is a chance for us to play with some younger players.

Sakartvelo vs. India 85 - 91 (59748)

One unexpected win today! We have won against obviously stronger team. In order to try to win I had to guess what the opponent will play and it worked. We were at the lead as much as 11 points, but the final 2 minutes opponent was near to catch us because of missed free throws from our players.

India vs. Malaysia 74 - 93 (59811)

our crunch time against theirs take it easy and we have still lost by 19. That is telling enough about the strength of today's opponent.
Our best PG is completely out of the game shape (at level 5 for two weeks in a row). His backup got injured on saturday so we were limited with options in PG position.
Nevertheless, I doubt the result would have been any different even with those 2 players available.

Player owners, try to train U20 players as much as you can. Reach out to me in case you have any questions about the training plans. I hope lot more than currently responsive managers will reply to my BB-mail messages

India vs. Norge 76 - 119 (59824)

Heavy lost. Although I've set a good offensive tactic, there were not much chance for us because our best PG is not in good shape, but even if he'd be in better shape, I don't think we'd have any chance.
Defensively, tactics was a miss. Zone was somewhat ok but the GDP was not good.

However, despite our 2-3 zone, in 1st quarter opponent had same number of offensive rebounds as our total rebounds. That was too much for us today.

Danmark vs. India 116 - 66 (59867)

Another heavy loss from a stronger opponent. I've tried to guess their tactics which looked like a bad decision (somewhat bad) so I'll if I'm gonna try to guess that in the matches to come.
About the game itself, we didn't have a chance today at all, the ratings are saying enough.

HEADS-UP: our best PG might become available on transfer list in 2 weeks. His owner didn't login from March the 27th. If anyone is interested into more details, send me BB mail.

One of the managers has not logged in for a quite some time, so I've invited this player to U21 squad in order to try to save him from getting bottified

Schweiz vs. India 81 - 47 (59930)

Another game with a stronger opponent. Our team's game shape was not very good and beside that our best player got out the game after 11minutes. After that, we didn't even stood a chance.

India U21 vs. Macau U21 100 - 77 (59970)

2nd win of the season for us. this time we were the favorites and I think we have fulfilled the expectations against the weaker opponent.
Our biggest center showed some inside skills today, so the game was a nice tryout of inside tactics ;)

Nigeria U21 vs. India 62 - 94 (60036)

One more win for us in this season. This time against Nigeria U21, slightly better ranked team. One of their big mans was injured and the other one is not in the shape, so it was an easy win for us.
There is one more match for us in the competition, against very stronger team, so I plan to just some exotic tactics to see how the players will adapt.

Time to sum up the season. The bottom line would be: it was a good one, but maybe we could have got one more win

Initial game and a win for us over a stronger opponent. We have guessed the tactics and prevail to a win because of the great tactics and home court.
Next game should have been set differently, maybe we should not spent enth against Malaysia but it is what it is. Looking at the games after that, maybe it would have been better to CT against Schweiz, but even in case of a win, we would have no enth for the game against Macau, and we would lose against Macau.
All in all, I think 3 wins from this schedule is a good achievement especially when we have in mind that our best PG was in a bad game shape because of owner inactivity (and ended up on TL with again ruining the game shape)

In the end, we are in the 50th place, which is not bad at all.

Next season there will be elections for U21 coach, I tend to apply again, but in case any of managers from India will register for the elections, I'll gladly give up the race.
