I'm the uber-competitive type. What can I do to get an edge?
Here are some things you can do to help your player look more attractive to the U21 manager (in no particular order):
1. Get primary skills significantly above the minimums.
2. Start with a player with good secondaries, Stamina and/or Free Throw.
3. Prove that you can keep your player in good game shape by managing your minutes well every week.
4. Train a player with more than the minimum potential to ensure they won't cap mid-season.
5. Become a "known entity" in the USA-Offsite community, where managers work to support the team.
6. Use the training simulator to fine tune your own training plan that fits into the player type you're building. (http://www.buzzerbeater.com/community/forum/read.aspx?thr...)

That's it? I've got a zillion more questions!
The single best way to get additional help with training a U21 player is to join the USA off-site forum (http://s3.zetaboards.com/BuzzerBeater_USA_NT/index/). Contact fewmit (29222) or Sleet (28628) to get approved after you register for the site. There you can chat, ask questions, and start a training diary.

----------------------------------------------------------

This is a list of U21 player types. This doesn't cover all ways to train or all player possibilities, but these plans do create the types of players U21 coaches have traditionally looked for and is a great starting point for creating your player.

If you are considering training a player that fits one of these guidelines, please look on the off-site or contact a U21 scout or coach for a very helpful and efficient training plan for your player!

what is the guy's chances at being in U21? 20%? 10%? slim to none? I wana know b/c I and debating on Making him a Inside O SF or a Specialist PF.....I think he is on track to be either or, I'm just wanting to see what are his chances at being a U21 guy.

I'm ok with him not being on U21, (because of his ID) I was planning on making him one of those types anyways

thanks

Very slim. America has so many superstar+ potential players that pas has little shot...

Paul salas is MVP and trained constantly and not make u21

There's plenty of room with 7 potential to make a U21 SF. Additional potential for that position is would actually be largely unnecessary to make the team. Webster made the team this season with 6 potential.

As for your question, tough, I can't give you a probability. Your guys has the base skills to reach the minimums required if you train him well, but I can't tell you what his competition would look like in season 25 for a roster spot. You'll just have to go for it and see

First of all, his secondaries are terrible. Second, there are bigs who have higher IS/ID/REB than he does. I know it is up to fewmit, but we already have enough bigs with better skills.

That's not how you answer that. You really should highlight a positive first, so as to lighten up the letdown. For example:

" I am impressed that he has proficient stamina. This ensures he'll be able to suck at the same level the entire time, rather than having to carry a backup to share the load."
