Starting a new thread for NT news and info. Check back from time to time as I'll keep this first post up to date with relevant links and other useful stuff (including skill guidelines for players joining the team, training info and more). For now, a few important items:

Offsite forum
The NT keeps most tactical and roster decision private by using an offsite forum for game planning, scouting and more. It can be accessed here: (http://s3.zetaboards.com/BuzzerBeater_USA_NT/index/). To join, (1) create and account at the forum site, and (2) send jfarb001 (28800) a bb-mail with the email address you used to register so I can verify your identity. To keep things manageable and so other users know who they're talking to, PLEASE use your bb user name as your login name on the offsite forum.

USA NT Database
Player skills are kept up to date here: (http://bb-usa.net/). Logging in will automatically update any of your players who are being tracked or who meet our minimum salary requirements. This will ensure that the db is as current as possible for your players, so that when it's time to make roster decisions, your players are given the best possible chance of making the team. Once logged in there, you'll also be able to view an anonymized version of the database showing all skills, but no names/identifying characteristics. This is the best possible way to know how your players stack up against the rest of the player pool. Note that logging in to this site uses your BB user name and access code (your code is NOT your password, and is set up through the preferences page here (http://www.buzzerbeater.com/prefs/profile.aspx)).

Just wanted to give an update as to what I've been up to in the past couple days.

Fatcurry, reddaddy32, and I have been sending out messages to players inquiring about their training plans and starting to give advice. I'm still not quite finished with this immense task (still have a bunch of 20 yos to go through and a couple 19 yos) but the response we've received is VERY encouraging. We've had responses from ~60-80 people including 14 of the 21 yo's that are most likely to see playing time this season. If we have contacted you, I encourage you to log in to the USA NT Database routinely.


Additionally, I've started prepping for our first game this Monday against Venezuela and scouting out the other teams we'll be seeing this year. Our team to begin the season is for the most part set as well. I'll start making a concrete gameplan soon and will try to have it up by Saturday. Feel free to call me stupid and explain why. I may change things. =D

PS. Reddaddy32 is just a friend of mine. Good guy to do the grunt work. Be assured that anything he says is coming from me, but I'm just too lazy to type it all out.
