Only one game last week, so nixing the honorable mentions and just sticking with the top dog.

II.4 Player of the Week:
Steve "Baby Vereker" Castaneda (28409665) of Flash Mashers

Mr. Castaneda led a blowout win over Work in Progress with a 22/19/6 stat line on an efficient 12 shots. His PF counterpart on WiP shot 0-10. Mr. Castaneda was quoted after the game that the win was a team effort, but I don't believe that false modesty for a second.

The Sungrazers respect the choice, and Castaneda's strong game, but Martin Bacevic is bummed he didn't get an honorable mention for his 40-18 performance.

Well, I won't do a write up but Bacevic and Pwnstar's Izbanov were the other contenders this week. So go ahead and count them as honorable mentions

Welcome again to another edition of Div II.4 Survivor

In last week's episode Great the 8 clan was leading the Big 8's 4-2. On the Big 8 side, the McMornings were up early and got the worm before the Eagles and shot them down . While the pwnstrz could not find the cash and were mortgaged by the end of the alphabet ....

So now it is down to 3.....Great 8 - 2 and Big 8 -1....

In Thursday night's Sweet Sixteen episode you will see -

Flash Mashers at NBBA Dog River Riverdogs (6-8) -The Mashers starters took Tuesday off to rest up for the Dog who are fighting for a 5/6 slot. Even if they finish 6th it looks like their relegation opponent is rebuilding so they can put out a tough lineup. On the downside the Mashers are unbeaten in real games and the Dogs were extended to OT in their last game where they did rest a few starters. Even matchup and can see this going to OT...going with the Riverdogs as to sloe the Flash are at home and have a little better Game Shape (and can afford to Normal if they want.....)

EDH Wolves vs Div III Ducksnorts (8-6) - The Wolvves lost a key player in Playfair last week so are scrambling as they are in a tough Division fight though they did rest against the Mashers on Saturday night. On the other hand the Ducksnorts are in tough Division Battle as well and it looks like they are beat from all the games to date. The Wolves at home will hunt the Ducks down in this surprisingly close game.

The Closers at Div II Meridian Hill McMornings (7-7) - The Closers face off with the McMornings which downed the xxx last week. Both teams are rested and it boils down to who wants it more, the McMornings have HCA but the Closers have a little more depth and Game Shape so I see the Closers ending the McMornings night.

Game of the week

And for the Big Picture we have a close one

NBBA - 5

Div II.1 - 3
Div II.2 - 0
Div II.3 - 3
Div II.4 - 3

I think the Riverdogs are one of three teams left in the cup that I would be the underdog to... I think I'd also have a hard time beating Milwaukee, and Upsyndrome will win the cup regardless of what order he knocks us off in. But like you pointed out I can't afford to give it my all in the cup as much as I'd like to.

That said I still think I have a fighting chance in tonights game. Wish me luck :-B

I think I'm about to lose which I would be fine with except that I'm kicking myself thinking that it was a good idea to guess the Dogs would go with a Balanced offense. Stupid. Wonder what the score would be had I not chose that.

Still one good quarter left to play. Let's home I can overcome the six point deficit.
