With six teams at 15-6, this could go to anyone. It will be interesting to watch.

Looks like Rocket Science bought some playoff help.

actually help for my next season here. :) but that he was in time for the playoffs is terrific.

I overpaid - there was a French DIII team that decided to go into a biding war against me. All cool though since I bought him for keeps.

Playoff prediction time!

Nothing too exciting with my picks for the first round. I fully expect all the home teams to advance. In round 2, I like the both petersburg and the Black Mambas to pull of road upsets to advance to the championship, with the Mambas advancing to the NBBA by taking the series in 3.

I think the home teams win first round, then it will be Black Mambas and Shameless advancing. Shameless wins the right to advance in 3 games.

Unfortunately I was not able to get to the championship for a second straight year! Petersburg's home court advantage, in conjunction with his team's nearly $120,000 payroll advantage was too much to overcome!

that's tough! nice job on the season though! kiwi's a good team, so I would have CTed. This is the 2nd season in a row that kiwi has upset the no. 1 seed.

Big 8:
Rematch of last season's upset coming up next. Interesting that both team likes the perimeter, though one tends towards a fast-paced run-and-gun and the other the more precise patient offense. And they have really build their teams quite optimally around these offense. Definitely going to be an interesting match. Neutral: Petersburg has the better seeding, but Kiwi's have shown a propensity for upsets on the road.

Great 8:
ex-DIII.1 champions meet head-to-head. Both teams are build quite similiarly - inside-oriented and with a penchant for defense and rebounding. Advantage: Black Mamba's enthusiasm edge and stronger line-up should prevail over Rocket Science's homecourt.
