A team with max enthusiasm and a few $30k guys in high GS decided to CT me in the cup. Saw that coming a mile away, but unfortunately I won too easily so screwed up my minutes.

Would've been a perfect chance to finally train my sucky draft pick too: (35116629). (Had I gotten a normal cup schedule, he would've been my main trainee) 3.0 rating / 43 min in his only game. Does anyone think he can eventually put up a 4.5 rating in like 45 minutes by season's end?

If you played Junior more than once every three weeks, 4.5 seems probable based on better game shape. However, his name is junior and you refer to him as sucky. More than likely dealing with sort sort of repression. Ewww.

It was week 1, so he had respectable GS. But yeah, you're still probably right about GS to some degree.

Should I focus on this guy instead: (35116603). Not sure how much 1 level less of potential matters?

I was CT'd while I brought my TIE playing on the road. I saw he always guessed how opponent would play and assumed he would have seen me playing patient in the cup, so I went LI. Well, he guess fast inside with 2-3 zone. My crappy guards were good enough, but didn't get it done. His back-up had 17 points in about 8 mins before finishing with 17 in 13 mins or so. That did it.
Looking at the ratings, etc, I doubt I lose that game more than win, but last night was just not my night. This season's not really going as planned for me.
Might have to re-consider some things. I do have one trainee, but just go get some more....

Maybe you should have chosen an easier opponent. ;)

I've been pretty lucky. The team I had in the second week was good enough that I couldn't sleepwalk through that game, but other than that I've had teams that don't pose a challenge. The random draw is just such a... well... random thing that it's more evidence that it's better to be lucky than good in this game.

I assume you are just looking to develop a bench/cup guy. I would focus on which ever had the better secondaries, but lean heavily towards any guy with a nick name like Swaggy Pee. Lethal combo with Sourpis. Just sayin'

I can probably just train both in 1on1 or reb for a while. Junior has higher skills in things i don't feel like training, plus higher potential. But Swaggy P is a much more usable player at the moment. And capable of playing more than 43 min with "strictly follow depth chart"

Damn, my perfect season cut short by a 2 week injury. Almost tempted to sell him just because. Apparently I get ruthless when I'm tanking.

Mustafic put up a rather insane line tonight after Lucky Gray fouled out.
NINETEEN boards in 25 minutes, TWELVE offensive, zero for eight from the line and one for thirteen from the field (although it was a three).
