Looks like I'm going into complete rebuild mode. Sold off my posts and now my former trainees are out the door too. I won't have a player over $10,000 in salary.

At least I have nearly $7 million to play with. Gotta get my team up to that salary floor and quickly!

Well, if you are going that route, I wouldn't even worry about salary floor until next year or the year after. Save your money. Do some training. Develop your team. Do all of these things before spending a dollar on payroll and you will be happy. You will be content.

With the market the way it is, I would just punt this season and start a total rebuild.

Ugh you are most likely right. We will have to see how the first 7 go.

I wasn't trying to be doom and gloom but now is a great time to build a team from the ground up. Train some prospects up. Build up the extension tax credit. Build up your merchandise for own draftees. Or Americans. It's what I am doing. I just got lucky being able to stay up last season. I do have the benefit of some old cash.

Well, it was mainly because of this:

While this measure alone might not discourage tanking, a new initiative has been announced by fan clubs all around BB; fans have decided that they will not tolerate long losing streaks if team has the funds to prevent them and will boycott teams that don’t have at least one victory in each third of the season or suffer the consequences of the boycott, severely reducing ticket income! This means that ticket income might be reduced by as much as 50%, depending on current team funds (while poorer teams might not even feel this, rich teams will be affected strongly).

I have a few million dollars in the bank account, so if I don't win one game my fans will hate me. =O

Unfortunately I built my dumpster fire of a team before reading that. So I should have a fun time trying to win 3 games this season haha.
