Uh, where is my post did I say I was planning on training this guy? I bought him as a starting C/PF for when I promote.

I have my guard trainees already who are 18 and 19 years old. This guy might get a bit of training in the "guard skills", but not at the expense of my trainees... and that had nothing to do with my decision to buy him.

I say if you are training guards or bigs it doesn't matter. Just slip him into the three when you get the chance and leave out whoever is the worst. He is going to be great for you but just a couple of improvements and he will be a division III dominator.

cause people were like wow ACE and this is how you should train him...

I also say u should train ur guards... 19 years old 4k... might not be the best when ur at D4 should able to afford a good trainee since u dont need players to win.

I didnt say your not training your guards, just said you should continue training them instead of some 20k C who is the same salary with my guards at the same age.

Hey mate, thought I'd poke my opinion in here somewhere.

I'm in the same situation as you at the moment yet my league is more contested by the looks. 3 teams sitting on 17-2 yet I know I'll still promote, and in your situation there is no way you wont promote.

I personally would have waited till you promoted and receive the 200k (or thereabouts) and buy a good/better trainee/starter up in Div III. I've spent most of this season training my last draftee and he's not doing too bad

First this is normally what we do for people in our federation. Your team not so helpful hey?

The three trainees.

1) Elram Varsano (20140887)
Really disappointing. Yes he is 18 and great height but he has low potential and looks like someone that was just drafted with one pop in passing. Only two primaries respectable at this stage is really bad. Horrible secondaries Grade D.

2) Baltrus Gaidulevicius (18108941)
Very similar to Elram and a year older. The potential is much better but he is nearly 20 and most would be upset with their 18 year old looking like that at this stage. Grade E.

3) John Norman (18868461)
Your original player I assume, so you must continue to train him and the good news is he is probably the best of these three, but only just. The defence is fantastic but everything else looks a long way behind. Grade C.

I am not boasting, I am actually a really bad trainer, always done two position training and often mess it up. But to compare here are my two 19 year olds.

Mu Hongyun (16764151) Shooting Guard
Weekly salary: $ 9 837
Age: 19
Height: 6'6" / 198 cm
Potential: allstar
Jump Shot: prolific Jump Range: strong
Outside Def.: proficient Handling: respectable
Driving: inept Passing: average
Inside Shot: average Inside Def.: mediocre
Rebounding: average Shot Blocking: mediocre
Stamina: respectable Free Throw: awful Experience: atrocious

Mu is in the top 10 of all 19 year olds in Australia. Obviously the boy can already shoot. His solid set of secondaries make him useful in any situation and he can play PG/SG/SF if needed but is only good as a SG. Needs to work on his defence and passing but had 1 and 2 pops in them so far this season. Grade B+.

Justs Saukans (16948525) Small Forward
Weekly salary: $ 8 096
Age: 19
Height: 6'1" / 185 cm
Potential: allstar
Game Shape: strong
Jump Shot: prominent Jump Range: average
Outside Def.: prominent Handling: average
Driving: proficient Passing: average
Inside Shot: atrocious Inside Def.: strong
Rebounding: average Shot Blocking: average
Stamina: mediocre Free Throw: pitiful Experience: atrocious

The Latvian U21 coach has expressed interest in Justs. He has solid defence for a 19 year old at prominent and strong as well as a good JS. He will always have a big issue because of his IS that may prevent him from being an effective SF so perhaps he will be a SG with good secondaries. He needs more of almost everything. Grade B.

As you can see neither popped this week so I hope for both to pop in OD next week. It will be Justs' 3rd week of pressure since his last pop and Mu's 4th.
