Cool thanks everyone for commenting on that, thank you too chris902 for pointing out that this thread my get locked, i didnt think of that until after id posted. But good to know.

My initial post was probably not clear enough, i probably wanted the focus of this to be more about the Trasfer market right now, not neccassarily about my players. So apologies for not making that more clear. In saying all that, firing IS probably a better option in some of these cases.

My question was raised out of two things that i have noticed lately,

A) just recently bought a very good player, for a very good price (IMO) but also noticed that other good players are selling for cheaper than usual prices in the last 2-3 weeks. This echoes your comments Thunder Dan
And B) Ive sold players previous, who were on par with their skill set as to my current players who are for sale, and they never took long to sell. So someone IS in fact buying these players, at some stage or another. And some of the players ive sold/selling, ahve had multiple buyers. Newbies? People who want a specific skill option such as higher outside D? Not sure.

Commenting further to that, as a general point of discussion which may in fact be slightly off-topic, i wonder if the new drafting system is making people stash more money aside for drafting, hence less money for buying players, and if i remember my economics 101, less buyers is driving prices down..... ??

Really? I'm leaning the other way, I want to have points to play with in the new draft system. What's the use in having a new toy if you don't spend a little time to play with it and find out what it can do?

thats a very good point you've made there, i checked out my league and was able to get a good gauge at what other teams in my league are doing in terms of spending on scouting. ..... Never thought of looking at that before!

Dats what i like about all this! Learning learning learning.

I wonder if apprehension about the new draft system is causing people to be wary and spend less this season.

Yes this is what i said and believe that this is happening, which is causing less people to more cautious about money, in all aspects of the economy.

But as previously mentioned, check out the average spend on scouting for your league, my league was just a tick under $10k.... i was in Division 4 last season, so im not really sure how valid my personal comparison is. But 10K to me seems about average.

Actually we're saying two dif things mate.

You're saying they're saving money because they're waiting to spend on the new draft system.

I'm saying they don't wanna spend any money because they're worried the new draft systems gonna be a mess up.

Sry if I wasn't clear : )
