D.II.1 – Season 68: Day 17 Recap (June 3, 2025)
by Buzzer-Manager

Smallfries Explode for 137, Irregulars Celebrate 900th Win, and Kings Knights Win the Clash of Titans
From historic team wins to superstar individual nights, Day 17 brought fireworks across the league. Smallfries detonated for a season-high 137 points, Kings Knights edged out Blue Ocean in a nail-biter, and Baker Street marked their 900th club win in style. The playoff air is getting heavier—some are rising, some are unraveling.

Smallfries Torch southpaw army, Again
We’re running out of adjectives for this team. The Friez demolished southpaw army 137–60, led by MVP N. Neside’s 27 & 10 with 4 steals and 3 blocks. G. Bandeira chipped in 23–7–5. Smallfries also posted team highs across the board: 137 points, 65 boards, 39 assists, 18 steals, and 11 blocks. It’s official—this team has arrived.

Kings Knights Edge Blue Ocean in the Heavyweight Duel
This was the game of the night. Kings Knights held off Blue Ocean 112–107 in a back-and-forth showdown that had playoff energy. Silva was superb for Blue (25 & 13), but it wasn’t enough to stop the Knights’ closing execution. No stars needed to go nuclear—just smart, poised team basketball. These two could meet again soon… and it would be must-watch.

Irregulars Crush Wavy for Win No. 900
Baker Street Irregulars delivered their best win of the season, stomping Wavy Gates 110–91 at home to secure their 900th club win. G. Ruxing caught fire for 37 points and N. Radenović played disruptor with 5 steals. Wavy looked flat again—have the champs truly lost their edge?

TAR HEELS #1 Keep Rolling, Big Forest Burns
The Heels bullied Big Forest 119–80, with Mikos and company coasting behind confident, up-tempo ball. Mikos had a clean 26–6–3 night with 3 steals. This team looks locked in and peaking at the right time.

Overton Goes Off in Hooligans’ Shootout Win
Hemet Hooligans needed every bit of S. Overton’s 36-point eruption to get past Harbor City Storm 125–111. Freeman had 14 assists for the Storm, but the Hooligans’ size and pace wore them down.

Flying Ostriches Clip Wasted Potential
The Ostriches shut down Wasted Potential 89–73 with a focused defensive effort. C. Webb had a brutal outing for WP, finishing with a -6 efficiency. The Ostriches are trending upward—Wasted Potential, not so much.

Village Idiots Annihilate the Mambas
Village Idiots ran through The White Mambas 116–67 in a clinic on pace and movement. Lambert went the distance, and the entire team feasted on Mambas mistakes. Southpaw isn’t the only squad imploding.

Mildcats Handle Business vs. SomeTeam
Corntucky took care of SomeTeam 84–69 with V. Fraser patrolling the paint (7 blocks, 48 minutes). Utters grabbed 18 boards for SomeTeam in vain. Another quiet step forward for the surging ‘Cats.

Key Takeaways
• Smallfries have become a scary good machine—Oskroba, Bandeira, Neside… it’s playoff-ready.
• Kings Knights passed a huge test with calm under fire.
• Wavy Gates are suddenly in real trouble—third loss in four.
• Baker Street Irregulars celebrated a milestone in style.
• Overton may be the most underrated star in the league.
• Blue Ocean fought valiantly, but top seeds don’t care about “close.”
• The bottom tier teams—southpaw, Mambas, SomeTeam—are getting buried.

Final Word:
Day 17 was a proving ground. The elite sharpened their form, the middle shook things up, and the bottom… got steamrolled. Smallfries just posted the most dominant performance of the season, Kings Knights showed their mettle, and Baker Street etched their name into the history books.

Playoff clarity is coming. Just not for the teams stuck looking up.

D.II.1 – Season 68: Day 18 Recap (June 7, 2025)
by Buzzer-Manager

Idiots and Hooligans Hit 130, Ostriches and Mildcats Dominate, and Wavy Gates Get Back on Track
The playoff storm is closing in—and on Day 18, the statement wins were loud. Village Idiots unleashed fury on southpaw, Hemet Hooligans dropped 130 on Big Forest, and Corntucky and Flying Ostriches bullied their way to convincing victories. The scoreboard was messy. The message? Time to separate contenders from collapse.

Idiots Obliterate southpaw army, Again
126–46. No typo. The Village Idiots unloaded on a collapsing southpaw squad and never looked back. Led by A. Pugh (22–10–6) and B. Dooley’s all-around gem (17–6–10), the Idiots posted a season-high 62 rebounds and 39 assists in what was pure domination. Three players had 3+ steals. It was basketball surgery.

Hooligans Hang 130 on Big Forest
S. Overton and T. Murrell lit up the box score again as the Hooligans steamrolled Big Forest 130–100. It was an offensive showcase, with Hemet playing fast, loose, and lethal. Martone’s rim protection for Big Forest? Nonexistent. The Hooligans are starting to look dangerous at the right time.

Flying Ostriches Blast the Mambas
The Ostriches soared past The White Mambas 129–84 behind D. Inceris’s monstrous 25 & 21 night—sharing MVP honors for the evening. It was pace, power, and poise from start to finish. This team’s ceiling is rising by the game.

Mildcats Maul Harbor City Storm
Corntucky clamped down on defense and buried Harbor City 106–81. V. Fraser went nuclear: 18 points, 19 boards, 4 steals, 4 blocks—and shared MVP honors. Add T. McDermott’s 11 assists and Fraser’s ironman 48-minute shift, and you’ve got a two-way clinic.

TAR HEELS #1 Smash Irregulars in Rivalry Rout
TAR HEELS #1 got revenge in emphatic fashion, crushing Baker Street 109–74. The Heels were crisp and aggressive—Irregulars just looked stunned. T. Gibbs fouled out with 6 personals and bottomed out with a 5.0 rating. Momentum shift? Possibly.

Wavy Gates Calm the Storm with Statement Win
Needing a bounce-back, Wavy Gates crushed SomeTeam 89–61 behind elite shot-blocking (15 team blocks) and G. Martone’s 6 swats alone. Defense turned into offense, and the champs looked like champs again—for now.

Smallfries Hold Off Kings Knights in Showdown
Another marquee matchup, another Smallfries win. N. Neside dropped 33 to lead all scorers, and the Friez held off a scrappy Kings Knights squad 121–112. No gaudy defense—just offense, firepower, and playoff poise. Friez are 2–0 this week vs playoff-caliber teams.

Wasted Potential Handle Blue Ocean Easily
Wasted Potential rebounded with a clean 109–85 win over Blue Ocean. I. Grikpedis and L. Pelowski both drained 5 threes, as WP kept the pace and found their groove again. Blue Ocean’s inconsistency is becoming a concern.

Key Takeaways
• Village Idiots just posted the biggest margin of victory in weeks.
• Hemet Hooligans have now scored 125+ in back-to-back games.
• Smallfries are officially a juggernaut—Neside’s been untouchable.
• Corntucky’s inside-out dominance is becoming a real playoff threat.
• Wavy Gates remembered who they are.
• southpaw, Mambas, and SomeTeam—blown out, again. Trouble.

Final Word:
It was a bloodbath for the bottom feeders and a flex-fest for the contenders. Idiots, Hooligans, Ostriches, Friez, Mildcats—they’re all peaking. Meanwhile, southpaw, Mambas, and SomeTeam have officially flatlined.

One thing’s clear heading into the home stretch: the playoff-bound are no longer just winning—they’re sending messages.
