Game strategy (36 competitive matches):
* Offense: Run and Gun 19, Look Inside 11, Outside Isolation 3, Motion 1, Princeton 1, Inside Isolation 1
* Defense: Man to Man 26, 3-2 Zone 5, Outside Box and One 4, 2-3 Zone 1


It seems like Man to Man might have been the better option...playing a 2-3 zone with a team that prefers the outside game is like playing Russian roulette with a gun with 4 bullets in it....
Oh well...better luck next week..

YC, I appreciate the feedback but you are too focused on the shor-term. The outcome of this game was pre-determined.............

You are sounding like the Timberwolves...always next season, and " Will get'em next time"...Ouch..So you were trying to go 0-3? And How was it pre-determined? Was it ...I'm going to lose next Monday so I will NOT scout my opponent..?

No will not be trying to go 0-3. I think we match up wel against Khazakhstan.

As for our first two games against China and Hong Kong, Those teams are on a completely different level. I guess I could have played CT and set different tactics for a 10% chance to win the game, but that would have killed us for the rest of the season. I chose to instead to take a different approach that I expect will benefit us in future games.

My focus since the schedule was posted has been on the next 4 games and not the first 2. You should have understood that from the U21 blog post at the begining of the eason.

Wolph....You make me laugh.....Do you want to know the truth...I voted for Taiyo...Hahahahaha!! To have a canidate walk away with the job uncontested, that is no fun....Also...If he can't take the criticism, why did he run for re-election. My point was..at least make them earn the wins..2-3 zone against a manager who likes the 3 ball..Just seemed like a lack of game prep.
PS...If it comes down to POINT DIFF. to get into the 2nd round and we don't get in...He will have this game to blame.

Like I said...me not winning the election is no big deal...Him talking trash about the Great 8 will surely effect our league meeting between our club teams.....With that said..I was hoping for the second round for the U-21 and now were down 0-2...If I do believe correctly, when you were the NT coach and you were going to give China a 25-0 to protest their farm team system..I ragged on you in the forums. Wins shouldn't be gifts, they should be earned..And as a member of the Nippon community I have the right to express my thoughts about the NT programs..so go and try to bully someone else out of not posting....

Ok, noted. You didn't like the use of 2-3 zone which likely made point differential greater and wouldn't have been the preferred defense against this team, also noting the problems inherrant in that defense. Those are valid ponts though we may have different opinions. Maybe what we may or may not gain from that down the road might not be worth the points we gave up, especially if it costs us advancing in a tie. Only time will tell.


BTW, are you really so worked up about my comment about the Great 8 whining. Seem to be taking that personally. I actually fully agree with you that the JBBL is way too lopsided. Its just fun to see you guys get so worked up about. I wish they would do something to rebalance the conferences each season. That would allow us to get 2 games against new team each season as well.
