I've played off and on since season 2. This time around I decided to do whatever it takes to stay interested, and so far it has been working. I'm really big on continuity. I get attached to "my guys". I two-position train. I train out-of-position. I train 29 year olds. I two-position out-of-position train 29 year olds.
In all the time I've been here, I've never actually taken a good look at the top league. Based on what I see demote, it seems like some kind of 33+ year old player skill drop roulette, which would absolutely kill my desire to log in ever again. Having said that, I've tried to be competitive whenever I can be, tournament, postseason, or playoffs... within the confines of some self-imposed handicaps that help me stay interested.
I've been "essential" for about a year straight now, even before the covid calamity was upon us. 50-70 hour weeks without end requiring peak physical effort and mental acuity. I'm probably not nearly as old as I let on, but it feels like it more and more each day.
Anyways, I'm a little behind on commenting in the thread, it's been fun, props to Dragons for homegrowing himself to wherever he ends up, and a big thanks to CC Mavs for the multitude of posts week in and week out.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I got annihilated in the tournament last week. It still looks good on paper, but that's why we play the games isn't it?
