Ugh, this has to be one of my more disappointing early Cup exits, and one of the worst fouling games in franchise history.

32 team fouls
3 players fouled out (my entire starting front court)
45 free throws attempted by my opponent

Aw man, that is a tough one.
I used to be in a league with Bob Christopher's Peachtree City Shooting Stars!
I'm glad to see he is still playing.
Sorry you lost to him in such a strange way. That is unlucky.
However, you couldn't have lost to a nicer team.

Interestingly enough, I discovered that Super Stars has the best Average Team Rating in the entire league, beating my own team out by 0.8 per game and the EDH Wolves by 0.9! Crazy that they are sitting at 5 and 5. Perhaps Team Rating can be misleading?

For a moment I thought my team could be competitive this season but the wins never came. I really tried to figure out why but I just couldn't. Fans weren't filling in the seats either. So, sold my old big guy and I'll try to rebuild again.

Hopefully there wont be a powerhouse with 600k+ in their arsenal. lol

Div II.IV Tourney Survivor Update

It gets tougher and tougher as we get deeper in the season, with many close races it is tough to rate some games as some teams will punt, some will put out a decent lineup and others will go for it and risk overplaying folks and that is not considering the dreaded CT......

Now for this week's games


Flash Mashers at Div IV Shrewsbury Honeybadgers (11-1) - The Honeybadgers have a nice Div IV team but they are playing a team that will contend for a NBBA slot.....I see the Mashers flying by the home team Badgers

Super Stars vs Div III Raleigh Roughriders (5-7) - The Stars will shine over the Roughriders this week

San Diego Eagles vs Div III Super Sonics (4-8) - The Eagles will soar over the Sonics in this one.

* EDH Wolves at Div II Mars Aliens (8-4) - Tough matchup as both teams are contending and can put out solid lineups, in the end I think the wolves will put the bite on the aliens.

Serenity Valley Browncoats at Div IV TKLU (9-3) - TKLU has another nice Div IV team but the Browncoats will dispatch them.

The Closers vs Div III Danbury Mad Hatters (11-1) - With more depth and the HCA the Closers will closeout the Hatters tourney run.

Pwnstrz vs Carmel Griffins (11-1) - Another tough matchup, a key injury and lack of comparable depth by the Griffins will be the difference as the Pwnstrz will own them.

Big Shots at Div IV Worth Warthogs (8-4) - While the Big Shots have not won a league game, they have won 6 tourney games and will put the team out to make it 7 this week as the Warthogs are essentially a 1 or 2 man show.

II.4 Player of the Week:
Stuart Vereker (26040848) of Big Head Todd

Mr. Vereker reminded us this week that he has been the dominant player of this league for many seasons. On Saturday he lead the team to a win with a rather pedestrian (for him) 20 and 17 stat line. Then to show off his versatility he lead the team in a patient offense on Tuesday going 22 for 44 for 47 points. Big Head Todd sits at 6-6 right now, but even conference leaders can never mark them as a sure win on their schedule as long as Vereker is in the lineup.

honorable mention:
1. Sherman "Tank" Le (32531658) of the EDH Wolves led his team to a perfect 2-0 week averaging 21 pts and shooting 17 of 27. He's an understated "glue guy" for EDH, and is shooting 53% on the season from SF.

2. Ralph "Rollover" Graves (31633788) of the Super Stars had a dominant performance on Tuesday to lead his team over the Bananahorns. He had 38/6/7 with 2 steals and 7 treys. He also had 18 in a loss on Saturday.

3. Andy "Jumping" Jack (26039048) of the FlashMashers topped Vereker's 47 for high game of the week, getting 49 in a win over the Pwnstars! Throw in 16 points in a win in their other game and he had a dang fine week.

Just noticed it was an all-American player of the week week. Nice to see.

Ok its All-Star Week and we have two Tourney Match Dates this week

Last week in Div II IV Survivor the Browncoats got the dreaded CT (boo, hiss) against the TK boys... and this week all Tuesday games can easily field a strong lineup (makes my job a bit easier.)

San Diego Eagles vs Div II Orlando Tragic (10-3) - Hate to say it but it is Tragic for the Eagles, as the visitors are solid...

EDH Wolves vs NBBA Golden Horde (1-12) - The Horde are playing for pride but I see the Wolves tarnishing them in this one....

The Closers vs NBBA Cross Chargers (2-11) - Another NBBA team playing for price but I see the Closers finishing them out...

Pwnstrz vs Div IV Texas Demon Slayers (13-0) - The pwnsrtz will cast the 2-man team Demon Slayers aside in this one....

Big Shots vs Div III Wasco Tigers (8-5) - The Big Shots will continue their tourney roll and tame the Tigers.....
