That's it, run him into the ground and get your money's worth! Bet he'll set all kinds of team records for you.

Mulvey had to be cut, he had reached his potential and there was no point hanging on to dead wood.

Watch for his replacement!

Manager of the Bahamas National Team!

Looks like 3/3 for the teams still left in the cup. Great stuff.

To be blunt, the cup is costing me league games as I'm playing my main guys into the ground which has annihilated their game shape. Don't think I'll be able to progress any further though as my main guys are all now in dire game shape.

U can tell my team has what it takes to make some noise in the league by early season results but unless I can get my players minutes under control the 2nd half of the season will be embarrassing for the team.

That's the downside of having only 9 players on the roster i guess....

The old Cup issue. I honestly don't understand what teams not in the ABBL are hoping to get out of the Cup. To a degree I get it if you are trying to earn a bit of extra cash, but really you have to realise you have no chance of winning it. Eventually you are going to come up against an ABBL team or ABBL worthy team and lose. How much damage you will have done to your current league season depends on luck of the draw. Effectively that's all it is though, luck of the draw which will eventually run out.

I made it to the final 8 once and in the same season got relegated from Div II due to my efforts to stay in the Cup. Since then, I couldn't give a rat's ass about the Cup.

I think it's just cash but the adverse effect of cup run is you are losing on ticket sales.
it work out to be the same, but if you are in a tighter league, your record could lead to relegation series.

It's about the oppurtunity to increase enthusiasm for me, i reckon for div III and lowly div II teams, you play TIE, but as soon as you're unlikely to win even playing that, you play the scrubs and TIE :)

only if you have a roster to cater for league and cup without hurting your players gameshapes. You can only tie in cup against bots and weak div4 and it ends as soon you meet a competitive team. it's different to what Vios is trying to point out. There're some teams that save their roster for the cup and sacrifice league games.

Cup is for fun, I'd put league games first and cup game with lower priority. I'd try to go as far as I can go in cup as long I am confident I can secure 5th spot or higher in league ladder. I am sure the J-man knows what hes doing.

Yeah that's what i'm getting at. Teams with no genuine chance of winning the Cup, that sacrifice their league games to progress are just setting themself up for disappointment. I understand it's a good opportunity to raise enthusiasm (that's all it is to me now) and also can be a good source of extra cash (saved me when I relegated). I'm more saying teams need to realise that when push comes to shove, it will be one of the ABBL teams that wins it and there is no glory in coming 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 16th....
