I don't think it'll be easy to trade him by any means, but the fact is there's always another team that thinks they can change a players habits and put him in a system he'll excel in. IF we find a team to dance with, and I acknowledge that it's a big if, I'm willing to put my faith in whatever move Ujiri makes. Maybe it's naive of me, but I want him gone regardless if we get a deflated practice ball and a McDonalds happy meal in return.

I don't think I've heard amnesty ruled out 100%, though I know that has some ramifications, so maybe we just pay him to go away?

The New York Times and TSN are reporting that Bargnani has been dealt to the New York Knicks for a 2016 first round pick, a future second round pick, Steve Novak and Marcus Camby. The deal is just waiting league approval. Boom.

Hmmm, Masai did say Andrea would be off the team by July 1st. Looks like this might become official tonight.

It's definitely at the higher end of what I expected, but I wouldn't consider it a ton. Realistically we got two 30+ year old big men, one of whom is a great defender but with no offense (and extremely injury prone), and the other has no defense or rebounding but has a great 3 pt. shot (so essentially a poor mans Bargnani). The draft picks are nice, but the 2016 draft is a long way away, so it's hard for me to be excited about it right now.

All in all, great way to dump the contract without getting anything helpful in return. Both of those guys, especially Camby, will spend a lot of time on the bench, possibly injured, and then retire. Our young guys have plenty of minutes to develop, maybe we suck enough to get Wiggins, and a couple seasons down the line we can get a couple bonus players in the draft.

Odds the Stoudemire/'Melo experiment is over by then, and the Knicks suck so that we can get a decen't pick out of 'em?

Well I enjoy looking to the future so the first round pick, and the two (according to the article) second round picks excite me quite a bit. As for the players we get, sure, they're old, and probably nearing over the hill of not already. But they can provide experience and guidance for the current raps seeing as most of the raps are young and unexperienced (like Jonas Valanciunas). I think the Raps got quite the better end of the deal here. By the time 2016 comes around, hopefully our young squad is now priming and experienced, and they can then mentor the two first rounders raps will have in 2016

If that is indeed the deal, that is indeed the high end of what I would expect to get for him.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

That's a great trade for Bargs. I initially heard that the Clippers were offering Caron Butler's expiring contract and I thought that was as good as it could get.

I like the trade, even if it just boils down to Novak and a few late picks. If Bargs was kept, Novak is 5x the role player (in their current roles) Bargs is. I hope he succeeds in NYC, I always believed in the potential of Bargnani cause he has a TONNE. But his motor and willingness to live up to his potential was never there, and hopefully he regains some confidence on the Knicks.
