Do you have any experience of managing an NT before?

Yes, England NT and South Africa U21 NT :)

what will be your main focus this season-will it be to win games or will it be to save players?

I don't know yet, first i prefer to see how season is going, but i don't want to lose neither match nor players.

how will you distribute the trainees to lets say 4-5 staff members?

According to number of staff member, maybe i will choose a kind of players to everyone. For example, in my staff there are: A, B, C and D.
A will think about PG, B about SG, C about SF and D about big men, obviously when possible and under my direction ;)

Thank you :)

Fixtures are up and I think we had only 2 winnable games :-
India U21 -- Philippines U21
Iran U21 -- India U21
India U21 -- Indonesia U21
China U21 -- India U21
Hanguk U21 -- India U21
India U21 -- U.A.E. U21

Maybe last 2 matches. This could be a good fixture, due to 2 winnable games position.

The Indian team has the big challenge of not enough trainers or trainees. How would you handle this and what do you think are the prospects of the team winning at all?

Well i think there are two types of managers, the active ones and the inactive ones.
I want to communicate with the active ones and help them making the right decisions to give their trainees the best possible training.
And inactive managers...well just like bballchamp i have to save their top prospects from retirement.
But the most important factor is really supporting managers with indian top prospects.

Your second question....winning....i already mentioned it in my speech. Winning is not my main target, i want to help the managers making their indian talents better and giving them experience to play in the u21 team. I am a pretty successfull manager in Germany and I know how to win games. We will also win games. But it's not my main target.
Once again: The talents that have the best (long term) perspectives have to play!

Some questions all of the candidates, how do you plan on managing the team? What will be your methodology to improve our team ? What type of approach will you take? What kind of strategies will you employ? Do you prefer a certain type of skill set for one position over another? What are your goals for the team? Do you have your staff members(how many are they) because in India everyone is quite busy and you'll have only 1 or 2 to help you. Are you sure you are not having any internet access problem and will not leave team in between ? And how'll you handle our low trainer and trainee count ? Etc
Thanks

My previous speaker said "I want to concentrate on training. I think that it's very important to create a training method that can be useful for all situations."
Well as the national coach i obviously cannot train the players directly. So once again i have to say: My main work is communicating with the managers and helping them finding the best individual training method for every single player. If that is succesfull, the players will automatically get better and we will automatically win basketball games. But won't say I will play this or that tactic, that's absolutely senseless in my opinion. My assignment as the coach of the U21: Doing everything i can to develop the young players and getting as many as possible to the national team. The national team coach has to win games then ;)
Regarding the skill sets I pretty much agree with my previous speaker. But i really love flexible players, I am not a fan of jump shooting machines or rebound monsters that can do nothing but rebounding for

My staff members? Well bballchamp is my first contact cause nobody knows the team and the players better than he does. But i will be looking for more members in the indian community. And my staff? Well somehow every manager who has a talented indian player :)

I will definitely not leave the team in between, i never had motivating problems, I love this game :)

But once again my headline: Success for me (as U21 coach) is developing as many players as we can, not winning 2 or 3 games a season...

I am happy to see two experienced managers showing their interest in the NT.and i am sure that whoever is the winner of those two will definitely help the team(more than i did).
here are a few questions to the candidates-
Do you have any experience of managing an NT before?(i am asking this because i faced many problems in managing the U21 NT as it was my first time managing the NT and i did a lot of mistakes)
I have assembled the best U21 players which i could find but they are way below par.so what will be your main focus this season-will it be to win games or will it be to save players?(at the cost of enthusiasm of course)
And last is the thing which i lacked the most-Communication.as bball king said that there are only a few indian managers who would help you as your staff members(though i will definitely like to help the U21 NT) so how will you distribute the trainees to lets say 4-5 staff members?

No I didn't manage one before, but i don't see a problem there, i have enough time to learn that and i am open for every evidence and help.
DEFINITELY saving the biggest talents. And we will also win some games, but that's, as i mentioned before, not the main target.

With that number of staff members, it makes sense to give every member one year (A has 18 year olds, B 19 year olds, C 20 year olds and D 21 year olds). Why not positions? Well i think you don't always know in which direction some players develop....maybe PG, maybe SG, maybe SF, it depends on the manager and the training. So i want every staff member to have one year. After the season it of course looks like that: A has 19 year olds, B has 20 year olds, C has 21 year olds and D has 18 year olds) and so on.....

though this method is quite effective but there are a few flaws in this method.firstly the number of players of each position are not evenly distributed.the number of SF is less while the number of C is normally high.so how do you propose to distribute the players evenly to your staff members?
