Got knocked out of the cup really early this season so I may as well try to have a good league record this season I guess.

Well, as I'm currently in Div III.3 and know SchaBoom (GC Vikings) and his potential well I will say now that he has an awesome chance at getting that promotion. If you have a look at the last three seasons in our Div you will see he's dropped only a 2 games being beaten only by teams who went on to win Div III titles (Urmummas and CROCKERS). Most will agree that both of these teams aren't weak DiV III/II teams. The GC Vikings have had the following record:

SEASON 16 18-4
SEASON 17 21-1 (Urmummus CHAMPS)
SEASON 18 21-1 (CROCKERS CHAMPS)
SEASON 19 12-0


Noteworthy is that GC Vikings took both Urmummas and CROCKERS to three games in back-to-back finals series.

My money is on the GC Vikings...however, the game after the Allstar break will decide this I think as this is likely the only game SchaBoom will lose unless the Flames buy up big late in the season and spoil his party. I will say this, if anyone deserves a free ride into Div III it's SchaBoom.

but in other news i thought we might try and get some input from some of these teams.

Starting in Division III.1 with Dudehowdy happy to answer some questions about his team the Tannum Tantrums

1. Do you think your team has what it takes to win your division?

Yep I do think I have what it takes especially if I can get HCA which looks likely barring major injuries.

2. Who is your biggest contender for the title?

Biggest contender is probably FIshy Kangas and The Winners both of whom I have beaten but they had injured starters so not a true test.

3. Can we expect to see any more purchases to strengthen your lineup?

More purchases? Not sure depends on injury situation I think. I do have a bit of cash in reserve if required but I will review this later in the season. Also if I see a particular player that I think is going cheap I may pick them up...

4. Would you go out of your way to try finish with the best record and PD in all of division III to ensure automatic promotion?

Not sure - maybe. I would like to win my Div III comp though as I got through from div IV on a bot cleanup so haven't actually won a title yet...

5. In your opinion, who is your favourite player and why?

probably Mischa Follner (18085481) my Centre as he was my first ever draft pick.

6. What are your plans for when you make it to division II? tank or fight?

Fight Fight Fight...I don't think I could bring myself to tank deliberately unless I couldn't see a way forward with my team.

So am i right in saying it's the highest placed team overall that doesn't win a GF series that goes up?
