Thanks guys I agree that those guards got to go I'm looking at pulling in a veteran point guard for my team to be my star player and one more trainee center before next season.

That is a great point that I'm wasting money on the draft and I'm gonna go down to 1 point a week from the 2 points a week. I still want to see if I can find a half way decent big man to draft free. SO I can fill that 3rd trainee spot.

also should i think about letting my draft points carry over?

I think I'm gonna buy as little as possible and go hard for training so I can promote next season, but Im still gonna give the playoffs a shot to get a few more weeks or training in.

I bought a couple seats but I'm not sure how to adjust ticket prices or seating numbers. It sounds like I just have to play it by ear and avoid selling out. Any advice or tips when it comes to money managing or arena?

Thanks again for all your input already It makes a huge difference

We have a lot of great outside shooters. Unfortunately, we play all our games indoors.

To change your ticket prices click on arena and then scroll down to the bottom. It takes a month for them to change its not instant.

yeah it says it will change by 6/18 but i was wondering what I should change it to? should i just increase the prices by one every time so I can systematically find the perfect price?

I might consider doing two or three points a week in the draft. I remember looking earlier and then forgot the specifics, but isn't half of your league already bot teams and a couple more that are barely active? If you factor in the teams that will finish ahead of you and the bots, if you find a good player, you have a pretty decent chance of ending up with him. Even if you just do the scouting combine and then take a look at some of the tall 18 year olds since you're going for bigs, that might help. Or, as was pointed out, it very well may not, but as long as you're still making money weekly and upgrading your arena, it's not a crippling waste of money.

As far as ticket prices, you'll get a better idea of how to set those when you've had more home games. There may not be enough time to get a good idea by the next price change in a couple of weeks, though. As far as the arena, definitely you'll want at least a couple of luxury boxes added (if you add two, you can charge quite a bit for those). I've just been adding a little here and a little there every couple of weeks since there's no maintenance cost associated with it and no per-construction cost.

I don't have too much to add that hasn't already been said but just wanted to hammer home the point of how important OD is, especially for your guards.

This was my first game in BB: (20484053)

I started the best PG I had who happened to have atrocious OD and as a result I almost got beaten singlehandedly by a sub-3k salary guard (12521797). I immediately went out and bought a PG with respectable OD/passing!

I would raise the Courtside Seats prices to $105 and then raise Lower Tier to $40. You are selling them out already. I wouldn't change luxury boxes or bleachers. Raising it by one wouldn't work because it takes a month to officially change and promotion/demotion.

defense(ID and OD, for bigs and guards respectively) seems like the key is there a good number to focus on in training for players to be competitive in D.5

I heard its like 10 in d.3 or so is 5-7 decent for d.5 ? more is always better tho right?

Also, for the draft how does the 10pt options work I have already used my first 7 points here and there scouting players so i have none left but should i save up for the ten pt stuff or no?

All of my starters have 10+ OD or ID. I think 8 is a good level for d.5 and 12 is good for d.4. I used this site when getting started to help me figure out which skills were necessary for each position:

I think 6 is really the minimum for a starter in V, atlhough as you said more is always better. I had a good offensive SG who was a low 5 and it worked in V but then he was a major liability in IV.

For the scouting, I'd definitely use the 10 point option that allows you to scout all of the 1 and 2 star guys because you'll uncover a few gems there almost every time. The other one is helpful as well just because 18 year olds are much more valuable than 19 year olds... I don't really scout that many players individally though.

I definitely want to have my whole team above 5 in defense, but right now my players are what they are. I just bought a brand knew point guard at 4k salary and great offensive skills.

After construction and buying a new player I'm down to 22k in money so hopefully at the beginning of next season I'll have a new trainee, two if I'm lucky. Also, one more 4k-8k veteran guard or forward.

My starting guards have OD of 18. I'd say 16 is minimum for top tier. Now... I just need to get a SF that can defend!
