I like that tactic Swendle, train some great rookies, Aussies if possible. Get them to the U21 and beyond! Will be a couple of seasons before you can go for promotion... Trust me.

My trainers salary is 17k so i am pretty happy about that atm.

My weekly income is 130k right now as well so i should be able to save some good cash this season.

Is it worth investing the 40k per week on scouting?

I dont have any real rookie talents that i would want to keep but i guess i can build some cash and focus on getting some/ the draft for next season.

Thanks for the help guys, appreciate it.

I'd recommend grabbing 2-3 decent 18 year old guards to train this whole season, they don't need to be great but try and make sure they have at least perennial allstar potential. Ditch some players you don't need and buy another good big man so you have some depth and a higher chance of not relegating this season. Then after you have that set up you should be free to train the whole season and stay in Div III where the money is definitely a step up from Div IV.

Wow, how the heck did you get in here?

Scouting is a big, sticky situation if you ask me... They have recently changed the rules so that you can use the scouting points from previous seasons, which is very cool. I don't think 40k is a good investment, though. It's really something you need to plan for seasons in advance (especially with the new rule).

17k lvl 5 trainer is very sweet. You would've paid a mint for him.

The best bet is to buy some 18yr olds and very soon. Each pop counts financially and winningly

how much should I be spending on these guards?

Also is it only the last position on the league ladder that gets relegated? As there is a team in my league and division that is forfeiting each match.

Finally do you know what the optimum ticket prices are?

Thanks

You can pick up some decent trainees for around 80-100k each. As I said before they don't need to be outstanding.

The last team on either conference gets automatically relegated, 6th spot in the big 8 plays 7th spot in the great 8 and vice versa in a best of 3 series. The losers of the Relegation series go back down to the division below.

He'll be a long term project. If you were in Div IV still I'd say it would be a great pick up, but you can't put him in as a starter for training in Div III. With average OD you'll get stomped.

So until he gets some decent OD your best bet would be to train him in your cup/scrimmage games and make sure he gets the full 48 minutes per game.

Thanks for the advice.

What level outside defense should i get him to before i can make him a starter in league games?

Also could you let me know what type of training does what for guards i.e what does one on one do? etc

Thanks.
