Nippon National Tournament Great 8 handicap

Stunners @ Northern Kyushu Ramen Kings

As much as a lopsided game as it appears on paper, there are 2 things that must be considered. 1) As Stunners makes his run in the B3, he must conserve enthusiasm, meaning more or less that this is a guaranteed normal. 2) This suspected normal will be played on the road.

That considered, look for Stunners superior roster to struggle in the first half and open the game up in the mid to late 3rd q.

Stunners - 13.5

Sapporo Fighters @ Sharman Globetrotters

Rematch (39847801) of Sharman's only loss of the season. Certainly Sharman will look to avenge this loss. With sharman also looking to advance in the B3, one can only wonder how much he is debating a CT to ensure a win and also prove a point. Sharman does have superior players, but the question is how does he use them, and how hard he asks them to play.

Should be a relative close game, look for Sharman to open up a lead early and for Sapporo to close within 10 at some point in the final quarter before Sharman puts the game away.

Sharman - 15.5

Swoosh @ Isehara Pistons.

Isehara has slowly closed the gap on the perennial Great 8 power. Isehara hoist the game will be a big boost. Add the fact that Isehara is field a more expensive roster, makes one believe it is his turn. Will Izaman be able to use his charisma and savvy to outdo his Great 8 counterpart...this game smell ripe for an upset.

This will be a game that goes down to the wire. The edge Swoosh would get as a veteran is offset by going on the road for this game.

pick'em

Yokozuna @ Fire Country Trail Blazers

Admit it. This is the game you wanted to see. A Clash of Big 8 Titans. All (http://www.buzzerbeater.com/community/rivalry.aspx?team1=...) signs point to a FCTB win.

But not so fast my friend. The key to this game will be Yokozuna's training up until this game. It he has fixed the problems that have resulted in 4 straight losses to FCTB, he may be in business. Its seems that indeed FCTB might just have Yokozuna's number.

But my gut tells me Yokozuna has a little trick or two up his sleeve. the play at the SF spot will decide this game.

FCTB -1.5

Great write-up. I think you may have nailed each one.

For me, it's a bit unfortunate I'm facing Stunners, as he has one of the best rosters still involved (not that it would overly matter WHO I faced this week!). Whilst he has worries outside of the cup to deal with, I have my own concerns in II.1 that must be addressed as well.

Nice write up.... isn't Stunners BB3 run over?

I'll take Stunners by 30 because NRK will bottle the CT & just normal.

Pistons by 20 (assuming same effort) - you won't touch him without investing.

Wolph to shoot his mouth for another week & Taiyo to be supping his beer thinking what should've been after a week or 3 straight defeats.

Sapporo to think long and hard about a CT & massively overplay his players but realise its all to no avail & take a 40+ beating (which he can hide behind as he didn't try as opposed to trying & losing by 15 with a CT)

My round up is a bit more direct & yes of course contains some jedi mind tricks & is designed to ruffle a few feathers!

My starting SG is out.
Honestly? Just pretty thankful to be in the QFs.

Who knows? I'll have to see how I feel... I realise the cup is important - but all of you are operating from a position of being firmly entrenched in the JBBL. I am yet to get there.

Sharman -50.5 I think :). I won him the last week because there was the less important match for him (He had another 3 matches vs Stunners, a Non-bot player in cup & difficult BB3 match) and i knew it. This week i put my best players in the legue matches and I won both :D. Thursday is a training match for me. I am happy for my best 8 this season! The next season i'll try to get the cup! Good luck for everyone!

With a chance at 100k, a three game training week and 5 ball fan surveys for all of next year in the cup department, you really ow it to yourself to challenge every cup game.

You never know. You could get Sharman in the 1st round next season. Its best to give your all in the cup.

You get a bad draw next year early, you will have a different idea about the cup.

Remember, Sharman has fish to fry, just like everyone else.

If Japan didnt have so many bots and you were lucky to just get a cup invite like many of the big countries, im sure feelings about that chance at 100k would be different.
