Hhhmm I was hoping to corner the market on sub-1200 utopians for my starting rotation. But I refuse to pay more than $3000 for one.

However, I was able to find 6 trainees to train this season for my utopian team. Unfortunately at the end of the season I will have to go international and add a suitable starting rotation. Until then I will be happy with my sub 20,000 cost roster.

I couldn't bear the thought of sitting with the new team and not being able to train anyone, and since my Utopian players looked like freshly-squeezed dog droppings, I decided I'd let myself go international to start off. I kind of missed having players that I could refer to as "that stupid Italian" for example, though Morgan Menard will always be "that blanched Mr. Poo-tatohead" to me.

Rik Smits Clogs has just acquired Victor Thayer for $ 600 000.

Looking for a replacement for the injured Daryl Meyers? A little overkill if you ask me...

Well the Clogs have officially taken over the overpaid roster pole position

Things could be worse though. You could be paying Otto Reedy 170,000 a week to play at Center

Well if you have cash to burn...

There is always worse ways to spend your money:

I dont know about roster overkill. Hrudey is clearly the favorite to represent our side of the league. Don't sleep on the Mammals though.

If my attendance stays at what it is, I'll make money each week I'm still in the Cup. And my team was desperately in need of Thayer or a player like him.

tinytaters sold a $100k player right after playing me. And now the Clogs buy a $100k player right before playing me...

Stop doing this Big 8!

just acquired Victor Thayer for $ 600 000.

+ an extra $130k to play a single game on Saturday.

Don't sleep on the Mammals though.

And don't feed the alligators.

Both excellent safety tips.

From what I have seen
U need to 500k roster to compete the the championship in this league
I look it as 0 operational income for a season
But the bonus at the end and increase revenue from promotion will make up for it

Well the Clogs had the most efficient roster per dollar going into the season considering they made the finals without a 100,000 player.

What stunned me was the Riverdogs last season. Massive salary to carry.
But selling a second round pick for 745,000!

Drafted as pick 29 of 48 by Dog River Riverdogs in the Season 25 Draft

Wow. And then to make/win the finals with so many injuries. Surprising really.

There is a lot of balance at the top. No clear favorite at least not yet. However the Clogs are certainly making headway.

And the Riverdogs were very lucky to win the whole thing...II.4 has been such a competitive league for as long as I remember. And of course I was there for every season but one from Season 7 through Season 26. This season should be a fun one for all of you in the League of Death:-)

I only bought him a day before playing you because he was listed four days before playing you.

It certainly wasn't ideal to have the listing close after the training update so I'm stuck with his impaired GS for a week. On the other hand, maybe if his closing time wasn't so awkward my bid wouldn't have held up - I was half expecting to have to do more bidding today to close the deal.

I did at one point earlier last season pick up a high salary guard, but it was a cheaper, older guy with a glaring hole so I could get him cheap, and I carried another ~35-45k guard most of the season as well. It just wasn't working, though - I didn't even keep Bustamente long enough for his GS to recover because I was getting hammered so much late in the season that I wrote off having a chance to promote, and I sold Hamby after another 6 foul game. But like the season before, I got back down to the core 9 man group that I've put together and things started breaking my way. Lord knows that my first round win was in no way deserved, just was fortunate that Mobile fouled out and the Pistons had no backup big man dressed.

I'm still only carrying the sixth-highest "top 5" salaries - but I did expand my lead in the 6th-10th salaries space significantly. I'm finally essentially done training the bigs as well, and I had the space to make the push, so it's as good a time as any.
