I see that your current roster contain no New Zealand player. Don't you believe that a National team should be run by one of its own. For example a Kiwi should be running the New Zealand team? I myself am currently training 3 New Zealand players because I care about the national side...

I'm not trying to be nasty or anything because you seem like a nice guy and know this game well, but I just think we need someone with true NZ pride like myself :)

I agree, my preference is for a Kiwi coach of the NT, i know we live in a professional age where multi-national coaches are present throughout sport, but it's still preferable to have a Kiwi as coach in my opinion.

Buttsy, I appreciate your concerns about me not being a native. I absolutely understand. However, I have to respectfully ask you: so what? What difference does it make? Don't you want the best manager your nation can have?

No offense to SammyD, but he's only played three official games EVER in BB! How much experience can be gained from playing this game for 20 days?

I've played 7 seasons. And at a much higher level, using players of the same caliber that can be found on the NT. I understand what makes players compete well at the national level (I've had 2 on the US NT), and how to properly train them into great contributors. And I WANT to help all of NZ understand how to do this so that their club teams can become great. Can someone with 3 weeks of experience do all of that?

Basically, how much is national pride worth versus competitiveness? Wouldn't you have more Kiwi pride seeing your country's team perform better, train better, rise up the rankings, and knock off some quality Asian teams?

I'm genuinely interested in helping NZ grow. Ask hoddy, I was BB-mailing him during much of the season. I'm not that ugly arrogant American who is doing this to show off. I want to provide NZ with a solid training/gameplanning/scouting foundation for years to come.

Besides, the guy you elected last time wants me to win ;-)

I've played longer than 20 days! And what I lack in experience I make up for in enthusiasm. I have been on everyday for hours reading and learning and I have a very good idea of how this game is played and know I could do a good job.

I've also created a smart spreadsheet which will help me in picking the New Zealand side. I will input every New Zealand player I can find so every player has a fair chance of making the side. Then from there I will talk to the coaches and we will work together with trainings so the New Zealand team can improve.

I know I can do a just as good job if not better than namssor.

Ok, your first game was 12 May, so it's been 24 days, my apologies mate ;-)

All I'm saying is you can read all you want, it doesn't make up for actual game experience with the match engine. I can read about how to climb Mount Everest for hours a day, but I'm pretty sure I couldn't just walk up and do it on the first try!

Well reading has helped me here as I know the game engine has changed for this season so I have used it just as much as you :P

Comparing playing this game to climbing Mount Everest has no relevance at all. To climb a mountain you do need experience but this game is more about knowledge than experience, after all its all about strategy and nothing else.

And anyway, a question directed at you. Why so much interest in the NZ NT? And why do you not try the USA NT?
