I got the same problem...i do EXACTLY the things you say (EXACTLY) but EVERYTIME at the last minute my pg(for example) and he was subtituted by my back up SG(i had not 9 but 8 players in my last scrimmage) but in the last minute he got subbed...i repeat...i had the same tacticts that you mentioned that everyone should have if you want 48 minutes(and for foul trouble i got ''let em play')' :D

Sorry for the low English skill :)

I've had the same problem before. It seems that when you dress 8 players, sub-ins don't happen as much. I almost always get a trainee subbed out when dressing 9 guys.

It's not important, but it was your starter SG(Burrows).
And your PG was subbed out after a foul and before the FTs. I don't know why it happens but I have seen this a few times now.
It's always in the last minute and just after a foul.

If a player is going to be shooting FTs and the coach wanted to bring him out/bring another sub in, they'll pick someone else to replace him. I think the point is that no matter what one does, short of dressing 5 or fewer players, there's always the risk that something will cause the player to be subbed. One can minimize the risk by following the advice in the thread but Murphy's law is absolute.
