I feel bad for the Aussie Hammers too, they were the only team that was pushed. But it wasn't just their on court performance hich wasn't much worse than possumpete and ezlife, it was the fact that they were ompletly silent. They never talked to us, they didn't discuss tactics, they didn't want to chat about how they could improve their team. PP and eze were major contributors with their brains, if not their bodies and that was a massive factor.
Most of my team wanted Iwen in from the start but I was strongly against it as I felt his team was just way too strong. I voted against him and we instead made him our coach. We did want a strong team to replace Aussie Hammers and make the league a bit more balanced. You guys replaced vis maior with a similar standard team in ThePwnage so we needed to still catch up. That is how we came to choose Western Titans (I actually also voted for the Massive Ballers, much weaker but a very funny guy and Home Axis, also a great forum guy).
With regard to you guys "thinking" about buying supporter for XBB, I wont name names but when we were recruiting last season someone said they couldn't play because they didn't have supporter. Next time they logged on, surprise, they did! I didn't think, I acted, and trust me that wasn't our top team.
The swapping for ezlife for Iwen came as a complete surprise to me too. Naker and abigfishy were chatting in our federation and saying that they really wanted Iwen to play and that our team needed to be stronget overall. Out of the blue ezlife said he was starting uni the next day and was going to concentrate on his studies for a bit and was happy to take a season off. I didn't even know until it was a done deal. Everyone was happy. How is that disloyal?
Xerxes was another shock. I was upset too by the double forefit but only 1% as much and I hinted as much in the forums. He also is having a rebuilding season after looking at his prospects with at least 3 teams currently ahead of him in his league next season so I think that was at least half the reason, he didn't want to let us down. You guys know what he is like. His mind was made up, there was nothing we could do, as usual I mentioned the Massive Ballers to a resounding silence and there was some talk of Home Axis again but City Celtics had been on our radar right from the start when we went with the Western Titans, and they were the popular decision.
Do I feel sad about losing 3 "real" IV.7 teams in these three but I hope some day to see them back and I do still have a dream of having a second division asociated with us. We already have enough associated teams to have a mini "B" competition with Xerxes, ezlife, Aussie Hammers, Beasts Red, ezyfrag, Home Axis, Massive Ballers and xbb if they were interested.
