Wow, a buzzerbeater three pointer sends my game in OT and then my opponent goes 7-7, injures my starting SG, and my starting C has 3 consecutive fouls in 20 seconds in the extra period. At home no less on equal effort.

Nice win Lumberjacks. Looks like I have to really rethink my approach as this clearly isn't getting things done.

Half the league decided to tank at the same time.

It took a borderline NBBA playoff team with a well built 550k salary to promote out of this god forsaken league. I thought at this rate it i would never get to the financial structure I needed to support/afford that. If only I had just stayed patient another season just avoiding relegation and saving a little cash, this may have been the year! Unfortunately I was getting old at the same time. Timing was just crappy.

If i were one of you tankers, i would figure out a way to rebuild while staying in that league...you don't want to drop to D3, dominate, and get rewarded with an entry into II.4

A bit lucky indeed.

Question...at the end of the 4th, with 4 seconds left, and your player at the line missed the first free throw, why did he get a second free throw? It was single bonus at that time? Was it an error? Am I nuts?

That's absolutely not true. By the time I get to II.4 everyone of those lunatics will be broke.

Is there a single bonus in the Buzzerbeater/NBA? I know college ball does single and double bonus, but I thought it was two shots when you go over the limit in the pros regardless but I don't know shit.

As for the game, you triple center offense is what killed me. With my starting SF out, I didn't have a prayer of slowing down you inside attack. Maybe next time.

Yeah, that injury was huge. Changed the whole game.

In regard to bonus, I found this via search...

In the NBA, and in BB, free throws are not shot after most fouls, except if the player who is fouled was shooting. But in a penalty situation, free throws are shot. The penalty situation occurs on the 5th foul in a quarter, or on the 2nd foul in the last two minutes of a quarter. The "bonus" light for your team comes on when the other team has committed 4 fouls in a quarter, which indicates that the next time a player on your team is fouled, he will shoot free throws.

In earlier times, and other different basketball rules (such as the NCAA), a single free throw was shot after each foul, but once a team committed too many fouls in a period, the other team would shoot one-and-one, which means that if the first free throw is made, then a 2nd "bonus" free throw was awarded. "bonus' is a holdover term from those rules.
