And... Lake makes it 2 minutes into the finals before getting hurt, and he'll miss the rest of the series. Fannn-tastic. Someone remind me what simulating injuries adds to this game?

Are you serious? It adds a whole new level of fun & excitement, especially for new managers! The prospect of having 1 or more of my players injured 1 1/2 real life months days after joining is what got me interested in the 1st place. And I loved the idea they could get injured again quickly. Sometimes less than a couple games after returning! That's what it's all about.

I also love high foul games. Where the other team shoots 50+ FTs and i shoot less than 2 in an entire half. Even more so when multiple guys averaging under 2 fouls games are foul out in 1 quarter arbitrarily.

If only players already fouled out could get injured... I can only dream, sigh...

I might be the only one who's in favor of injuries

far from it (215737.1)

output of that thread is pending suggestion that injuries are only in-game, maybe thatd be a happier medium

Hey, I just said i liked injuries & unbalanced fouling!!
a) incentivize depth (by making it worthwhile to spread talent around)

Then they should heavily penalize performance when starters play almost all 48 minutes. Instead of encouraging it, like they do now. Where not resting actually results in better performance late in games half the time.

I can't tell you how often i've seen a team with 5 great starters & zero depth get completely shut down in the 1st half (especially 1st quarter) against a very deep team. Only to completely dominate from late in the 3rd quarter on... It makes no sense. Someone that rested half the game should have a decided advantage late vs. a heavily fatigued player. Doesn't even matter if those playing all 48 have decent stamina or not. (which often they don't. & makes it even more frustrating...)

So I agree that they should make depth matter. (one of my biggest annoyances with BB). Just injuries don't really do that effectively, IMO.
