Those were good times, whenever there are U21 games, you and your scout friends almost there to watch games and chat.
And I do remember some of your few shares about guidance on training players during our chat that time.

I thought you won't come back to manage U21 anymore, and oh here you are now. Always feel good to see the comebacks.

Now you're playing silent game :)
Say no more about young player development, don't forget that you're the same person that destroying Singapore u21 in last two seasons.

Do recall the good job you have done on past two season:

Just back from overseas. Here's the headline this week :

Singapore barely penetrating The Great Wall, defeat to China 52-80
Posted on 1/31/2013

Overpowered by China six-digit bigman Tan Chunyun and the killer guard Yang Zongbo, Singapore team were no match to China team as they trailed 15 by halftime and got worse on 2nd half after China team kept finding easy baskets, boosted the lead to 30 points.

Despite the weardown, Mahatir Mohd bin Ahmad still able to show his shooting touch, sank six three pointers on his way for game high 31 points. Li Jin Yew has 16pts and 12rebs and the rest Singapore players were scoring no more than two points

Singapore will start to face much more important games , started next week vs Taiwan U21. Expect their "Triple-Double Machine" Chan Haiding to look for revenge for last Scrimmage loss 74-81.

Singapore U21 calls up couple of players as injury and bad shape are haunting up
Posted on 2/3/2013

As more important games are coming on, Singapore instead started to hit their downside. Syamsuri Ahmad, Mahatir Mohd bin Ahmad and Akhuga Chawla didn't pass their physical for this week match.

Following player are being called up : on Kok Nie Chao (25403873), Chu Jing Chu (26759147) and Chau Kang Chun (26759195) are the latest changes made by U21 manager Bigben.

Chu Jing Chu (18.2ppg, 8.1rpg and 41% 3pts) and Kok Nie Chao (bigman with 33% 3pts), clearly are hired to spark more outside shooting for Merlions Team. Meanwhile Chau Kang Chun (21ppg 15rpg) is an inside beast, hired to replace inconsistent Tan Ying Liang.

Asides of smooth shooting, both Chu Jing Chu and Kok Nie Chao are also known for their lockdown defense. Both of them are expected for some chances to guard the "Taiwanese Dwayne Wade" Chan Hai Ding (24397166)

Taiwan avenged early tournament loss, sent Singapore to third straight defeat 86-72

Gameplan were inline when Merlion saw Taiwanese Chan Haiding's 1/8 FG on first half. But the superstar didn't let the advantage goes on.

Tired of being hounded by Fan Pingwai, Chan turned himself into playmaker on 2nd quarter, resulted on plenty of dishes and led to their bigman dominance thru the whole night. Peng Chuan Hsing scored 28 points and 12 rebounds, and defender Pei Kian Chong even scored 14 points and 14 rebounds to dominate Taiwan over Singapore. Singapore barely made a comeback and trailed badly 64-79 at fourth quarter and never recover. Chan Haiding still finished the game strong with 11pts 8 assists and 4 steals.

Missing scoring machine Syamsuri bin Ahmad & Mohd bin Ahmad, Merlion has to rely on Li Jin Yew to carry load by himself and getting less helping hand. Li has tried his best, scored 32 pts and 15 rebounds . However teammate were quite passive throughout the game.

With 2nd straight losses on second rounder, Singapore will have very little chance to look at Semifinal. Another huge opponent come next week, Iran U21.
