Oh well, guess I will just have to try again next time round. Thanks anyway, I will keep an eye for next fishbowl.

We have a game this Friday 8/7/11 - the last regular season game for the league then one week of the playoffs will be Friday 15/7/11. Then next season that you (and others will miss) will be exactly 12 weeks long. So in 15 Fridays, if we can avoid too much self-destructive behaviour, season 6 will start. As usual we can make no guarantees but if you are interested be free at that time.

Kevin has 2 Div 3 teams ready to join - not sure if it will be a draft or we can just add them or what not. I work with one bloke and am mates with the other so obviously i'd like them to be in our Fed if possible.

Well the plan is a draft but obviously most federations have teams that they prefer and we are giving everyone a "protected" draft pick this time so things should work out well. As far as I know you guys have all 3 picks organised, the Sharks have 2, Guppies I don't know if they have plans for their draft picks or if they will just choose on the day and we have just started discussing things.

So which other federations have "protected" picks? Just curious as to what determines a protected pick because we obviously have Akuma because he is a friend outside of BB and he also was part of the Original XBB Sharks Federation.
On another note, We have no issues whatsoever if WA or any other teams are not deemed appropriate for the PL. Though I do have issues when people who are now in this Private League to accuse Federations of inviting or nominating teams just because of how strong their teams are! For heavens sake, Dire Wolf was drafted in! If I were a complainer as well I would've Veto'd that!
So to say that the Sharks are only bringing WA in because of how good his team is, is a load of f**king BS. If strength was an issue we would try to recruit the remaining ABBL teams into the PL and kick out fringe teams in our federation!!! This is an absolute joke to accuse the Sharks of only bringing in the best teams. That is not what we were about since SEASON 1 of the Fish Bowl so for someone who hasn't been part of SESAON 1 to make such accusations is beyond me.

I have been part of the fishbowl since season one.
I haven't accused you of just bringing in the best teams.
You obviously have brought in a balance of teams like bainsynator88 and ...ok I can't think of any other non-original teams that haven't been strong.

So you say you were bringing in WA not because of his strength? So if he had the same charming personality and was in division IV you would have wanted him just as much? Honest?

Besides bainsynator88 who we would snap up in a second, who else is a fringe team? Every other Shark except Maggots who are tactically tanking is division II or higher. Kevin has 5 x division III teams.

Dire-Wolf as drafted in, but he passes the character test with flying colors. Once we let in C-Cat (who also passed the character test easily) the dam was burst as far as power goes. No-one has said ever that WA is too strong.

Every Federation should be entitled to a protected pick. They will need a way to justify it and I am happy to let Koop be the final judge of how reasonable they are. You will use yours on Akuma, we hope to use ours on Xerxes if we can get him to come back - still 50/50. Kevin has a plan. I never have any idea what the Guppies are doing, do they?

The power creep (explosion) has already happened, it is just about character now. There are only about 5 teams I can think of that we wouldn't allow in but there may be some others that I don't know about.

You say it isn't about power, cool, we have a ton of awesome teams that have nominated for the draft and I think there will be a very strong division II team adding their name very soon as well as a medium one.

no it wasn't directed at you yoda, we've already had this discussion in the past and had resolved the "drafting in power teams issue" already in the early seasons of the Fish Bowl. It was someone else accusing the Sharks of bringing in power teams only.
I for one, have no idea who WA is, from what I've heard from the other Shark's that have dealt with him he is an alright fellow, someone who contributes to forums and is always active during game time. That's all, but if there are other reasons as to why other PL members dislike him or would rather not include him in the comp then that's fine with us as well, we never threw up a stink and said he was DEFINATELY going to be included in the PL. So I only base my opinion on what my fellow members have told me, so it wasn't about strength at all for drafting him in and to be honest some of the other Sharks don't mind WA's personality, I might not agree but everyone has a right to their opinion and the Sharks have always been the Federation the Fish Bowl loves to Hate hahaha.
We have Akuma who is a Div III team and we were willing to pick up Cunnings (who won't be able to make the PL now). We have no issues picking up Div III teams and calling them a Shark if they were willing to join and be active.
Anyways, just needed to clear some things up because there has been talk about Sharks only picking strong teams, we were accused of this (not by you Yoda) and it just doesn't sit right with me and a few of the other Sharks.

Cool. You guys will probably have the first pick in the draft and I would assume that you would take the best team available. That could include some top teams - not all confirmed yet - like Haggards, Vios Violators, All Sorts, High School Drop Outs, Nevada Saucers, Team Lordy or others that have been mentioned.

sounds good... i don't know some of them, hopefully they will help the Sharks win another Fish Bowl! It's been a 2 season drought for us, but with some good draft picks I think will help us be competitive again! hahah
