Great game ChickenHawks. That one came right down to the wire! You have a nice team there. Your defense is on point.

How many games do you think 5th seed will need to win on our side.

My guess is 10

If I had to make a guess I would go with 11. I think going .500 is about right.

Good game your way also.

I thought I might catch you TIE, but I guess not. Stupid back to back OT games. Double OT Saturday and OT tonight. Game shape is going to suck.

Anyone investing in the draft this year? I haven't put a single point into it the past 2 seasons and have received the result you would expect. Just seems to be a better investment to buy exactly what you want on the TL.

Same strategy here. For the ~$100,000 spent on the draft you can find what you want on the transfer list. Got lucky with Gooch last year (cant cut him with an awesome name like that). My new strategy (I am sure others are doing it as well) is to try and find draftees from smaller countries where it is easier to get them on the National teams and reap those rewards.

I am still putting money in and hoarding points in the event I have a bad season. As for pursuing players in smaller countries, does it really give you a big bump if they make the national team? I thought it was more related to having home country players that are key contributors and even more rewards if they happen to make the home country NT. I can attest that since I have added more US players, that I am beating the average merchandisng pretty handily.

I noticed when Biscay was on U21 Argentina my merchadising was a bit higher...or at least it seemed to be and then dropped when he turned 22 the next season. I could be imaging things.

I invest a small amount and hoard the points. So if I finish bad enough, maybe I get a chance at a decent pick.

yeah, i have been doing this too. I didn't spend any money for 2 seasons until last season and now hoarding a little.

I've had pretty bad luck with the draft.

I wasted a lot of money on the draft last season. much better to just buy, me thinks.

sigh - rough 2 week for the rocket.science team. injury in a meaningless game, and the end of a cup run next week against one of the top teams in this league.
