First off, I'd like to congratulate PuffPuffPass on an amazing come from behind victory.
My team folded in the end like an orgami pelican.

Secondly:
I understand that I run an inherent risk of the bench playing in garbage time and giving up a lead, but can the game engine at least attempt to field the best possible team in OT?
It’s kind of ridiculous that it doesn't do so.

Also, since garbage time starts when you’re up by 20, shouldn’t it end when you are only up by 17 or so?
Momentum can shift suddenly, and it is tough to get it back, even with your starters, when the other team has already cut heftily into the lead.

I've always been curious whether the GE accounts for momentum in its calculations

Yeah, I don't know. It's mainly from the story-telling angle that happens as the game unfolds.
I do think that my starters would have held the lead if they came back in when it was still a large lead.

I actually could easily see momentum being factored into the BB sim. I've seen momentm shifts and runs that just wouldn't happen with a random distribution of points. I think the BB's tried to mimic real basketball as closely as they could and momentum is definitely a part of that.

Yeah, it certainly seems like it does sometimes.

Since I'm really bored with tanking already, will try a new feature to compliment cws33's tournament recaps. I will do the II.4 player of the week recap. Based on nothing but my own opinion! This is for last week's games covering 3/5 and 3/8.

II.4 Player of the Week:
Lütfi Hadiye (34395310) of PuffPuffPass

Mr. Hadiye led the Puffs to a 2-0 record for week 3, pulling the team to a winning record for the first time this season. He dominated the paint against the San Diego Eagles going 27 and 16 with 2 blocks. He was the game's leading scorer. On 3/8 he was the team's leading scorer once again in a grind it out defensive game against the highly regarded Big Head Todd and the Monsters. He only shot 5 of 17, but had a great defensive game getting 3 blocks and 12 boards while matching up at PF against the league MVP Stuart Vereker.

honorable mention:
1. Alekss Dzilums (26645332) of Serenity Valley Browncoats. Led team to 2-0 record averaging 15 and 19 with a 19.0 rating.

2. Davide Tudisco (20957724) of the Flying Leopards. lead the team from the PG position scoring 21 and 30 points this week.

3. Devon Jones (27250457) of Pwnstars. Had a monster game against Beware of Dogs scoring 36 and getting a 19.5 rating.

4. Mikelis Dziesminieks (25291439) of the Sungrazers. Averaged 29 points helping the team get a win vs the Eagles and a close loss to BHT.

Well I also didn't have my starting SF or PF in my lineup and tried to sneak some minutes onto my scrubs for GS purposes. Glad I could learn that lesson without it costing me a very avoidable L on my record.

Second Team:
EDH Wolves II
Div II.IV Tourney Survivor Update

Great 8 - 7
Big 8 - 5

Gaeta sent the Dogs to the pound last week in the game of the week.

Things are starting to be more competitive as we go deeper into the tournament; only 1 bot this week and guess who got it....

Flying Mashers at the Div III US Daggers (3-5) - Mashers will stab the 8-man Daggers in this one

*Sungrazers vs Div III Skinny Dudes (7-1) - Sungrazers will shine in this one, good matchup but HCA and depth will prevail.

Big Head Todd and the Monsters vs Div IV Some Team (4-4) - The Monsters will scare these guys away.

Super Stars vs Div III St. Louis Redbirds (6-2) - The stars will fly high over the Redbirds due to HCA and depth.

San Diego Eagles at Div III Hoopster Doofuses (4-4) - The Doofuses led by 109K/week Frederick Warren will confound the Eagles.

EDH Wolves at Div III Kings31 (2-6) - The wolves will put the bite on the Kings in this one.

Serenity Valley Browncoats vs Div IV Trinikings (7-1) - The Kings have put together a solid Div IV team but with 8 men the Browncoats will drive on through.

The Closers at the Div IV Zekesters (8-0) - The Zekesters are another solid Div IV team and at home but the Closers will close them out with their depth and better game shape.

Bananahorns vs Div IV Brewskies (6-2) - The Bananahorns wont slip up on the Brewskies in this one.

Pwnstrz vs Div IV Carolina Looney Tunes (7-1) - The stars will say thats all folks to the looney tunes another solid Div IV team who will field a good lineup.

Work in Progress vs NBBA Upsyndrome (8-0) - Upsyndrome will work Work in Progress in the first NBBA matchup for DII.IV.

Bigshots get the only bot this week (winner, winner, chicken dinner) congrats!

Thats all for this week and good luck

*Game of the Week
