Singapore - By beating Indonesia, Team Pilipinas is sending a strong message to world ranked Hong Kong. The much awaited match up of the two best teams in group B is a week from today. All eyes were on Indonesia as Italian coach Greer thought they could beat Team Pilipinas by using an outside based offense. This rather surprising move was probably triggered when the Saudi Arabian scout volunteered to join the Italian coaching staff to help Indonesia beat Team Pilipinas.
The plan obviously backfired, as team Pilipinas paced the game for 107-78 victory.

Coach Morwood had his own bag of tricks as well by playing Montenejo at shooting guard. He held Sibi to a disastrous 2-16 from the field and 0-7 from the three point line. Not to be outdone, Balatbat and Jesus took turns in suffocating the life of Indonesia's premier small forward Atama. He was miserable from everywhere on the court making 4-23 from the field and 2-10 from beyond the arc. Nadala and Libre beat up their front line to combine for 38 points. It is easily apparent that this team is more defensive minded than last years team.

At court side, local celebrities were again in attendance. The All In manager reportedly bought all the luxury boxes for sale and was spotted trash talking the Indonesian bench. Pressed for a comment, the handsome manager said, "They played like they were afraid of us, we wanted it to be a close game so the boys could get more experience closing out quarters, but we will take it, a win is a win. Hong Kong will be tougher but that is why conditioning is important."

Asia Schedule: There are 21 teams in BuzzerBeater Asia. The 21 teams are drawn into three first-round groups of six teams and play a round robin from Week 2 to Week 8. The top four teams from each group are placed into one of two 2nd round groups, with results not carrying forward. The 2nd round is played from Week 9 until Week 13. The top two teams in each group advance to semifinals during Week 14 and finals the Friday of Week 14. The two finalists qualify for the World Championships. The remaining semifinalists as well as the 3rd placed teams in each 2nd round group qualify for the Second Chance Qualifiers. (Posted this for the new guys who are not familiar with the tournament format)

Good job managing the team, good luck with HK we are going to need it.

The Center of HK is a reminder for trainers the big difference between one position training is from two position. As you can see, his rebounding is sub par at only level 8 (strong) but his phenomenal defense and inside scoring make up for it. I doubt if he has trained rebounding at all. This is probably a result of sub training.
