Philipines trampled Singapore 92-80.
Posted on 8/12/2013
Even only first game, the 2nd round pretty much resembling the misery at last two seasons ago.
The Young Lions started the game hesitately, repeatedly intimidated by the bigger Filipinos player, only scored 8 points after 1st quarter and trailed 28-42 at halftime.
3rd quarter saw Fan Pingwai tried to push back his team at 54-61 after 3rd quarter, but run out of gas at 4th as they are unable to convert easy shots. Finally Philipines got away with free throws to seal the game.
All Singapore eyes were on Ulan Cantara, the Phillipines phenomenic SF. Chu Jing Chu has no match to him, as he only shots his worst 1-11 FG. Cantara has 14pts 9rebs and 5 assists.
Fan Pingwai and Keenan bin Suutin led Singapore with 18pts 4asts and 18pts 13rebs.
Singapore next game would be against Malaysia U21, which most likely will inflict Crunch Time damage to the ailing Merlion teams.

Malaysia thrashed spirit-less Singapore, won big 106-78
Posted on 8/19/2013
As expected, Malaysia didn't waste any chance to dethrone the early season favourite Singapore.
Balanced attack led Malaysia for early 28-13 lead, and 2nd quarter started to turn into a rout where they led by 20pts even without their starting SG.After used all the enthusiasm against Phillipines, Merlions were spotted as sloppy as sotong, even at 4th quarter, no one is willing to spark any fight.
Chan Shiying led Jiran with 19pts and 10rebs, which featured most of their rising stars 20yo. Fan Pingwai led Singapore with 16pts.

Chu Jing Chu led with 19pts, and Fan Pingwai has 17pts 10ast and 4stls as Singapore raced for the fast start and never looked back. India team barely fight back and commited 29 turnovers, which become 40 pts of Singapore fastbreak points.
Akalmash Shaji led India with 28pts.
