Stop with all the Bay Area crap:
Steve Perry,
two teams in my conference associated with the "NBA" team located there,
and I am pretty sure Shameless' logo is based on Tuesday afternoon stripper from some gentleman's club in Oakland (minus the c-section scar).

THE BAY AREA SUCKS

Wow, what a way to lose. Controlled the game for 3 quarters and get destroyed in the 4th. Granted, it was on less effort, but just wow.

Hey Mr. Nuts,
You keep your comments to yourself, or I will I have to come over there and do something about it.
I'm not too good at keeping my comments to myself, so come on over here...let's see what you've got! Oh, never mind...I remember now...you've got nothing. BOOM!

And don't you forget that.

Actually, I did watch a bit of yours. I know it is just how the game engine is set up but it doesn't it make any less frustrating.

I have a nice little hole to dig myself out of here. First I bought a guy so far under range that when I put the bid up I never thought I would get him. I honestly didn't put much thought into the pros and cons of buying him being I had won my league just hours before and really never thought my bid would stick. Honestly I was just intrigued briefly that I could afford a guy with all those flashy skills, thus the bid. 2 hours and no other bids later, I got him. Then I came to the realization that I was paying 470k per week in salary but didn't think I was getting 470k of production, so I sold him for less just to stop paying his salary. Now I pissed away a game I really needed prior to probably the toughest stretch of my schedule over the next few weeks, including a back to back road week coming this week. More money lost and looking at a potential 1 and 10 start. So just pile that game on to an entire season of frustration.

For the first time in this game I feel like I put myself into a crappy spot and don't have a plan to improve, which is why I ended up where I am at to begin with. I was done being in D3, as tough as that league used to be, and sort of just spent my way to get out of there. But I am a long ways away from being in the position to just spend my way to the NBBA from this league. So that and my udder determination to crack the code to stopping and beating great (and totally boring) LI teams with any other sort of offense/defense combination, will probably lead me to my ultimate undoing and complete personal meltdown. Or I could just completely blow up my team and start from scratch...again. Its good to cleanse the system every couple months.

Something is coming though, just not sure what yet. But must purge myself of this frustration...soon.

Being one of those boring LI teams, I agree that it would be nice if there was a little more diversity in tactic selection, particularly in the higher divisions. In my case, I drafted two stud big men right when I started playing BB and that kind of dictated the path of my team. I have become more focused on trying to be effective against all offenses. My loss to Postal aside, I think I am getting closer on the front. I am also very keen on winning while keeping payroll low. Not USA Elite low, but some sort of happy medium that allows me to be flexible on offense and defense. I am still getting all the pieces in place, but I am encouraged by the initial results so far. Of course, I need to avoid relegation to continue on this path.

I suggest you crunch time someone in my conference other than me. That will make you feel better.

Hmmm I do have Shameless coming up. Might be fun to CT and make him the slumpbuster for once.
