My Sungrazers are quite lonely as the only players on the league's injured list.

Will some of you send some players to join mine, please?
Thanks.

(Who wants to bet that I just jinxed myself?)

Simmons got injured six minutes into my last game but thankfully it was just an in-game injury

Normally, if you finish second, it just means you spent too much money to not promote.

My motto: promote or demote

Your strategy would probably have served me well over my BB career, but I've always taken the tack of making upgrades where I can, winning as much as possible, and keeping a fairly consistent team. This strategy took me a pretty long time to get to DII, and I'm not sure I'll ever make the NBBA, but I like it.

Div II.IV Tourney Survivor Update

Great 8 – 8 and Big 8 – 5

Last week’s action saw the Eloping Cantalopes sent to the market and PuffPuffPass ran out of gas.

Here are this week’s real games – No Bots Included

Big Head Todd and the Monsters @ Div IV Spenn (2-4) – Even on the road the Monsters will scare the life out of them . As this is the only real game the Big 8 have they are pretty safe this week.

The Closers vs Div IV Louisville Waffles (3-3) – Closers shut the door as the Waffles don’t have enough syrup.

Pwnstrz at Div IV Old School Running Rebs (4-2) – Pwnstrz will own the 7-man Rebs

Serenity Valley Browncoats at the Div IV Hawaiian Royals (3-3) – The visiting Browncoats will end the Royals tourney vacation.

Bannanahorns vs the Div IV Beantown Celtics (4-2) – The Bannanahorns will trip up the Celts in this one.

*Beware of Dogs at Div III Serapo Gaeta (4-2) – The Dogs look to be gearing up for this one and should get but the Italian beach goers.

Bigshots vs Div IV Greatness at its Finest (1-5) – The Finest will have to be great to overcome the Bigshots….it isn’t happening though.

That’s all the real game for this week – Good Luck All!

* Game of the week

There are many managers who take this same approach, and I respect it. I think it's important to play this game in a way that keeps you satisfied and entertained. I prefer to take a step back in order to move forward. I enjoy the process of drafting and training home grown prospects. My next rebuild will be perfect.

I usually start my climb when my prospects are ready to compete. I'll be acquiring a lvl 7 trainer (rather than lvl 5) and aiming to train elite NT prospects. With the added training experience and player builds already set in place, It will be a much quicker transition. I know exactly what type of team I want to build unlike past seasons.

Farnsworth made the NT at 25, 26? That'll be the goal for my prospects. Then, I'll look to fill the rest of the starting rotation with the best American talent money can buy -- at least, that's the plan. Ideally, I want the best USNT players on my roster.

Until then, however, my goal is to win more championships with Hunt & Bowens!

Whoa, you gave me a run for my money tonight. I logged on in the third quarter to find my team down 14 to your Super Stars. I guess Yazzie and Spoonmore had gotten in early foul trouble and one of my scrubs had taken over SG in my RnG offense I played and it killed me. If my team hadn't taken control of the 4th quarter like they did you would have beaten me handily!

First off, I'd like to congratulate PuffPuffPass on an amazing come from behind victory.
My team folded in the end like an orgami pelican.

Secondly:
I understand that I run an inherent risk of the bench playing in garbage time and giving up a lead, but can the game engine at least attempt to field the best possible team in OT?
It’s kind of ridiculous that it doesn't do so.

Also, since garbage time starts when you’re up by 20, shouldn’t it end when you are only up by 17 or so?
Momentum can shift suddenly, and it is tough to get it back, even with your starters, when the other team has already cut heftily into the lead.

I've always been curious whether the GE accounts for momentum in its calculations

Yeah, I don't know. It's mainly from the story-telling angle that happens as the game unfolds.
I do think that my starters would have held the lead if they came back in when it was still a large lead.
