To balance that I gave you 3 even though you lost.

No idea about the first one. The second one was a two point game so just like I said before I think in such a close game the points should go to the best player. In the third one even though you won on appeal just look.

Peixoto 23 points 25 rebounds 14.5 rating team lost.
Deltell 17 points 7 rebounds 11.0 rating team won.

Yes I know Deltell won the appeal so that is that but you have to agree Peixoto had a fairly good game.

The strength of your team is it is very even with great quality and depth throughout. Other lesser teams often are pathetic in comparason but have at least a couple of stars that stand out.

Yeah I wasn't saying there was anything wrong with it. Just pointing out the fact that it has happened before :)

I clearly understand the justification for a losing team to get all 3 points especially in a close game where that one player clearly kept the team in it.

Peixoto scored 25 points but at 33% shooting. He rebounded but got a tonne of boards during garbage time playing scrubs. The game was a blowout and played the whole game.

Deltell scored on over 50% and only played half the game due to the blowout (well 28 minutes). I felt Patziaras done a much better job but it wasn't my decision on how to re-allocate the points. Ratings can be misleading as players are sometimes selected to fill a particular role rather than be an all rounded player for that position which will deflate his rating value.

The strength of my team is more even but does that necessarily mean it doesn't have more stars than a team that relies on the one player? Everyone is a important player by their own right but there are only so many shots a team can jack up. Does it necessarily mean that a team that has one star jacking up 50 shots is more valuable than players from a balanced team where 5 guys took 10 shots?

Nope and I certainly think FG% is very very important!

I protest! (this is the place for it right?)

2 Algirdas Trimailovas Lewisham Wombats 27 PTS 7 REB. While his 27 points was a team high it was his 7 rebounds from the SG position that was what the team needed. If the forwards 4/4/0 had done as well there may have been a different result.

1 Grgur Fatur Black Label Society 20 PTS 12 REB 18.0 rating. Grrrr, Fatty, The Man Who Needs a Vowel...whatever you want to call him his game is no joke and the beating he put on Aggelos this game was outstanding.

Caio was an easy 3 votes but Grgur should have gotten an easy 2 votes in this one.

G. Fatur 31 9 - 16 0 - 0 2 - 4 +26 0 12 2 1 1 0 1 20 18.0
A. Trimailovas 46 11 - 27 1 - 9 4 - 5 -13 0 7 3 1 0 1 1 27 15.5

A much more efficient game from Grgur in the blowout win and he also completely shut down Aggie who is generally one of the Wombats best players and only had 4 points, 4 boards and 6 fouls.

Correct, and very fast! We will get the big C-Cat on it right away to see if we can get Grgur another point and a vowel!

I must protest my MVP game as well:

The write up was total crap: :P

Koopasaurus vs. Monkey Business 87 - 95

Monkey Business won in OT.

3 Gabriele Messineo Monkey Business 24 PTS. Shot a lot.

2 Wazza Kennerley Koopasaurus 24 PTS. Big 3 forced OT. Only Sauron trying in OT.

1 Sepehr Asghari Koopasaurus 32 PTS. Top scorer.

And there was no proper reasons given as to why each person deserved their points.

Mession got 3. Thats great

Kennerly got 2. No problems.

Asghari got 1. WTF! Apart from scoring at a really low %, he did nothing else. His stat line is as follows:

S. Asghari 52 13 - 35 5 - 19 1 - 4 -5 0 1 2 3 3 0 5 32 14.5

52 minutes, 37% shooting on the majority of his team's shots. 1 rebound, 2 assists...3 turnovers, and choked in OT.

I think someone like Totengo is more deserving of the one MVP point:

D. Totengco 39 2 - 9 0 - 0 6 - 6 +4 5 24 1 2 1 4 1 10 15.5

Only 39 minutes of action. Bad shooting % I admit, but he didn't take no where as many as Asgahi did. The 24 boards kept the team in the game as he excelled in OT and he went on to get a double-double. Also had a massive 4 blocks which is really rare on this level of play.

Scoring is important, but if you are not doing anything else and are just jacking up lots of shots on your way to be the highest scorer, then unfortunately, you're more of a liability than MVP candidate

I don't like the use of rating when deciding MVP votes. It should be about stats.

Even with the stats, he did nothing but score at a low %
