I could rattle off a long list of some of the greatest rebounders, and only a few are over 7'.

DeJuan Blair from the Spurs pretty much sums this up completely. His rebounding skills are great DESPITE his lack of height. Height plays a part in determing a person's rebounding skills - if a person is smaller, yet has far better rebounding skills he will out-rebound the less skilled player every day of the week.

The same goes for guards... a player's height may affect their jump shot or ball handling skills, but player's with exceptional jump shot skills are stil going to shoot a high percentage reagrdless of whether the 7' guy has a hand in his face or not... due to his great skills, not size (or lack thereof).

The greatest rebounder of all time, Dennis Rodman, was a mere 6'7. The notion that larger players should outrebound smaller ones generally isn't true. Size helps, of course, but it's only a tiny part of the story.

Rebounding leader of the NBA Love got measured 6'7,75 b w/o shoes 6'11,25 wingspan, and he is not by any means an athletic beast...

Anyway i wish i learn some day how to make profit from the TL...10 seasons on the game and i am -25+M on my transfers :(

same argument ive read countless times , height is allready taken into account in the skills.

so a 7 foot respectable rebounder
vs
a 5'11 respectable rebounder

are both equally skilled and height is allready taken into account , meaning the 7 foot guy is most likely not very good at boxing out , where as the 5'11 guy is great at it.

I wish I knew the league you get promoted into can mean the difference of ragequitting and getting moved up another division without even trying.

In that case I wish I knew the market crash was coming so I didn't waste all that cash buying players who value was halved in the next several seasons.

http://skepticalsports.com/?p=112 is the first article of a series of posts on Rodman. Read it; it's really interesting stuff.

Let's put it that way: Rodman grabbed the highest % of rebounds anyone ever grabbed, and did so over the course of five seasons. He did average less RPG than Wilt or Bill, but their games were played at a faster pace, and with lower shooting % than in the 90es. Usually, players have to give up offensive rebounding when trying to get defensive rebounds, and vice versa. Rodman is basically the only exception to this: when he grabbed more defensive rebounds, he also grabbed more offensive rebounds. Kevin Garnetts career rebounding %age is actually lower than Rodmans career offensive rebounding %age.
