Dear Canada...

A win next week guarantees us a place in the next round-robin phase. We would start there at 0-3, giving us little chance to reach the semi-finals. Realistically, we would need to sweep the four qualifiers from the other group to advance, although there might be an off-chance 3 wins would be good enough. Either way, it's very unlikely we can pull this off.

So my question is: Do we want to risk not reaching the next round at all for a chance at a giant-killing or two if we do make it? Or do we want to put it all on the line next week for just the accomplishment of reaching the last round?

From my perspective, maybe I aimed low, but my goal was only to get Canada to the round we're in now. So everything from here is gravy.

I would blow the TS to go in next round, who cares, after that we're toast anyway

Normally I'd be in favour of trying to make it as far as possible but in this case it's evident that we're not going to win anything this year. I'm indifferent either way, throw the game if you wish than we can get some more games and keep playing or go down fighting. Whatever works.
